Ok for the past two weeks I've been battling with this issues.Basicly what happens from 1 hour to 4 hours at any random time my eq2 goes crazy and artifacts fill the screen then causes me to restart. At first I thought it was my graphics card - So I RMA it today got my brand new 8800 GT 512 ram from evga and still does this issue.I've monitored the GPU and CPU temps all are goodI've run windows memory test several times - no issuesI've tried every driver under the sun - and removed them correctly with drive cleaner pro and in safemodeI've update anything and everything I could think of and still no good.I am running Windows Vista home premium 32bitSo either its two things - EQ2 is the problem OR there is something I didn't know I should know to fix this issue

Have you tried out other games beyond EQ2?

Strange... I'm really not sure what to say about this one if the card is getting the proper power and has good temps, it shouldnt have any artifacts shown.

I'm having an identical problem, Zakane. I have tried several drivers, checked my temperatures, ran memory test, and checked into all Microsoft and Nvidia updates/hotfixes. I was beginning to worry that I was the only one experiencing this issue.

I'm using GeForce 7900 GTX dual cards, but I have SLi off while playing EQ2.

I'm also using Windows Vista Ultimate, which from what I can tell is more trouble than it was worth. It has made my ability to play EQ2 nonexistant.

My issue began here in the last 2 weeks as well.

Zakane: So this still only happens in EQ2 and BF2142? (personally I would think that crysis would cause more stress).

I've ran many tests on the nvidia 8 series cards within the last few weeks, and never once did I see artifacts shown in XP or in Vista. Although my tests were never more than 30minutes and you stated that you played for hours (1-4hrs).

I know we have a ton of more users out there using 8800GTs and other 8 series cards, anyone esle seeing this issue?

I'm experiencing identical problems on my 7900 GTX card. This issue does not seem to be isolated to just 8 series owners.

I find it utterly astounding how you're ignoring this problem in regard to any GeForce cards less than the 8 series. I have experienced problems running my 7900 GTX cards from day one. I have seen plenty of individuals comment on in and it has been ignored. I plan on upgrading to the dual 9800 soon, but if Sony is not going to support real high end technology such as SLi then what is the point?

I'm very surprised that a huge suit has not been filed against Sony Online Entertainment, in all reality. As was said in another post, Sony has promised amazingly smooth graphics that follow in line with hardware advances. All videos shown by SOE seem to be in the highest graphics settings, yet I can assure you that no player runs this consistently such as you show.

I'm going to check with my attorney and see what he can find about this type of activity.

Second question, how much does your lawyer charge you per hour? Is it worth involving a lawyer for a $15 a month game? You are delusional. The most you're going to get back even if you won, which is HIGHLY doubtful, is the cost of the software because it hasn't caused you any financial or emotional damage. And not being able to play at the highest settings is NOT emotional damage, unless your **** is too small.
