A new kind of mount would be great instead of 78 worgs, 83 horses and 66 rhinos with different textures and slightly different saddles and war gear. Btw, watching yourself riding on rhinos and worgs makes you get sick and getting aching eyes due to the up and down of the screen, doesn't it?

Though mounts like raptors would be nice, one could also think of boots. True running boots with 50-55-?% speed. This would also LOOK really great. I like watching my toons move very fast while unmounted. Could be purchased from the stable master or from a NPC tailor at the same costs of an equivalent animal mount.

If you get to 80 in crafting you can do and Epic quest and get some item that does indeed give you super-speed.

And there's the carpet quest you can do in your late 40's, or buy a carpet mount instead of a beastie.

Though I like my warg. It's suitably RAWR. Course, I'd never oppose the suggestion for a new mount, like that raptor you mentioned, a few of us have fancied that very same beast as a mount. I also wouldn't mind a palanquin borne aloft by fae slaves with their wings ripped off.

palanquins would be cool

also tinkered chairs on legs might be fun (altho that might require a "sitting" pose for toons and would open the floodgates to requests for useable chairs).

quite like the idea of a basilisk-style "low-rider".

and maybe some sort of unicycle.

I want a snake or a wurm. Maybe something dragon-kin without the ability to fly. Centaurs anyone?

I would love to see some sort of mount with a a fighting animation. Maybe it would have a dps add or something. Nothing crazy, but a slight dps add to so the animation makes sense. Now that I'm on roll you could have a plethora of mounts with some interesting abilities. Maybe a turtleish mount with defense bonus or a flame mount with a small resist bonus. Hell, how about a mount that glides or has safe fall? Like a giant chicken since they don't truly fly! haha!

Perhaps after the fabled Skeletal Revamp comes to fruition we could see some more mount ideas.

A tinkered gyrocopter, that'd require some kind of different character animation as they fwip fwip fwip about, like a fairy.

A palanquin could go hand in hand with finally getting a sitting or laying down animation.

Or pair of boots with ikkle wings on the side, to have us float about like more fairies.

A blobby creature that has us bounce around like Frogloks, with a gloopy swaying motion when idle.

Dare say some of the squishy robed wearing types could make a case for their pets being made into mounts. Could be an interesting twist, perhaps to address any shortfall in utility a given squishy class has against others.

Could get really outlandish. After all, honestly, I don't understand the thought process that begins with "new mount" and ends with "rhino". Not a creature known for being ridden eh. Maybe when Desert of Flames is considered so crusty it needs touching up with the revamp brush a Camel mount could be manouvered in there.

Though the thing in-game I'd most like turned into a mount would be a Lamia.

Maybe they could introduce some Orc slaves. That we can buy on the market from some of Lucan's evil stores in Freeport that give piggy back rides as a new mount in the game. Then we can be like, Go over there Orc, now take me over there Orc, run faster Orc, as the Orc gives off a Adams Family Lurch grown. . .
so no one's up for an Osterich ?

I want a rickshaw pulled by a high elf - or maybe one of those pretty faerie people they hang around with.

Would explain why there's Vulrich Meat all over Antonica.

Though I'd rather enjoy horses still being the most common mount. It appeals to me, little islands of normality amongst a sea of whoop-whoop-fireball-walking skelebones-dragons-high fantasy. It throws the fantasy into contrast, rather than just having fantasy weirdness considered so common it's normal, takes the edge off it.

Still plenty of variety to explore in horses. Light and fast horses, Leather carprisons woudl look good for squishies, slower and heavily armoured destriers, and armours designed as from by a race with a definate look about them - Elven barding is bound to look different to Iksar eh.

Class mounts! Like class hats but you ride em instead of wearing em!

Mages - Broomstick (obviously)

Crusaders - Unicorn or a Griffon for a Paladin, Skeletal versions for SK.

Fighters - War Horse (heavy cavalry horse, bigger and bulkier with plate barding)

Monks - Clouds (obviously), white for a monk, black for a bruiser.

Scouts - Ranger - Bear or Wolf, Swashbuckler - Parade horse, Brigand - Bareback pony, Troubadour - Horse with pennants and coloured drapes, Dirge, same with black pennants and drapes. Assassin - shadowed man.

Priests - Druids on a cloud of leaves, mystics/defilers - spirit mount, Templar - Heavy Cavalry horse with plate barding and templar cross drapes. Inquisitor - a pale horse with shackles.

How about a vehicle mount that transforms into a robot. The vehicle could be a middle evil stage coach mad of metal, horses and all by the Gnomes. This mount wouldn't only be a mount but a pet that can fight fore you to. And every time the player would enter into combat with their transforming mount. The mount robot while in combat would state, One shall stand, and the other shall fall....

Still waiting for a cat mount! Hehe But maybe ratongas can force kerrans to be mounts, make a little platform so one can stand up on their backs! But I wouldn't mind a raptor mount.

I second the idea of some sort of lowrider reptile. Doesn't need to be terribly slithery (read: complicated animation) but a nice monitor mount would be spiffy. The art team did an awesome job on the gators in the game IMO. (ps, I'm a cajun girl and the DLW ones tickled me to death.)

On a cuddlier note, I propose Barded Battle Badgers! (Hey, if a fae can ride a Rhino then my Ratonga can ride a grumpy badger... there are thousands of them in antonica alone for heaven's sake!) The wargs are just so... slobbery and ...well, mutant-looking. If "Bigger" is the requirement (looks at the size of rhinos and wargs) then how about a polar bear? (Velious is an icy zone, yes? ) You could get some impressive barding on something that big.

Lastly, while I'm not a huge fan of the vulrich I find the idea of some sort of avian mount to be interesting. I just wouldn't want to end up with a chocobo knock-off. Perhaps a cockatrice? /shrug

How about a Whale or a Dolphin mount. We wouldn't be able to take them on land Unless they were a magical Dolphin of cores. But we could ride them around the areas that have Ocean like Antonio. . . .
