I'm quite sorry if there is a more apropriate place for this question but I saw nothing about hardware in any of the descriptions so I decided to place it here. I'm returning to the game after an extended leave due to hardware problems. How would the computer linked below run the game in it's current state with all of it's respective expansions?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...d=1196470766824

Thank you all very much.

"NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS graphics with up to 1535MB total graphics memory (256MB dedicated); S-video TV-out, HDMI output "

Shared memory between laptop and video card never a good idea even if 256 is dedicated.

True but that 256mb is plenty for the game, and with 3GB of system ram and those kind of specs Id be highly surprised to see any problems.

It seems a very decent laptop and very well capable of running EQ2.Only question I have is the 5400rpm harddrive. I would try to get a 7200rpm hardrive in it. As EverQuest2 abuses your harddrive quite a lot.So the diference between a 5400rpm and 7200rpm harddrive is quite noticable.Cheers

the laptop is nice for school, but you won't be happy about how it plays.

You know I had been in search of one that came with a 7200 out of the box without being $2000, but it's been quite a difficult search. If anyone has any better suggestions that run under $1300, I'd gladly take a look and do some consideration.

As for newegg.com, I have taken a look around but the question was about the computer itself, not about where I should buy it from. Thank you.

For smooth gameplay, I would highly recommend one with a faster processor. The video card on the model you selected isn't bad. For the price, you can certainly do better.

I dont care where you buy it. Just trying to save you some money and some headache in the event of problems.

Now that definetly helped my understanding. Thank you, I'll take a look around keeping that in mind.
