I am having a new problem I have never seen in EQ2. When I go to Timorous Deep the ground leading into the city is all wire frame. No ground textures at all. On top of that it won't let me go past the two guards to enter the city area. I have updated video card drivers and haven't changed anything that I can remember.
Just to get the obvious/dumb question out of the way, have you tried a full file scan from the patcher?

I seem to recall when KoS came out, a dev forgot to push a texture file to the build and people got wire-frame models for some piece of furniture... maybe you've got some corrupt/missing texture files?

If you answer that "yes" then I have no idea.

No I have not actually. I will give it a shot as soon as I get home from work. Thank you for the advice!

Search for files named after Tim Deep in your EQ directory and delete them as well, the patcher will redownload what ever you delete.

Well I deleted everything that had TD in the name and now get this error when logging in. E;lifeeq2gameclientsrcgamescene.cpp(4122):failed to create zone. Sugestion: Please do a full scan from the patcherI have done 3 full scans and nothing.

Fixed it by reselecting all the files as not read only in vista (although they go right back to showing as read only) after I did this it did a full install (30 minutes) of scan and reinstall. Now it is working great. Odd...

Couldn't agree more... next time I reformat for any reason I will be going back to Xp. Just did vista to try out the SP1 which has done absolutely nothing for me as a gamer.
