Today, at the level 51 I could not kill a monster Heroic ^ ^ ^ 42 alone! They say that the Paladin is very good to solo, but even a difference of 9 levels, Heroic, I could not kill!

My AAs points are in the best way, (4,4,8 ) agi, sta, int and my itens are pretty good.

What is wrong?

Any other classes could kill it alone?

What is the best classe of warriors to solo?

Should I make a Berserker or turn in to a ShadownKnight?

I'm relative new on this game, this is my firts character and I'm still a litte confuse.

Thanks for answer.

Not every 41^^^ is the same, some are over or undercons, many ^^^ are difficult to solo unless you have very good gear even if they are green.

Well first off like the person above said some things are greatly under conned, on the other hand are you casting your ward first and then your taunts/debuffs so you hit the mob harder also bash that mofo as the mob cant hit ya if its on its back and stunned which is also a good time to recast your ward . i cant speak for all others but i myself dont heal as it stuns us which im sure you noticed by now, i wait until the mob is down . also play with your aa's i cant tell you how many times i respec'd to figure out what works for me. also your lvl 51 now so guess what mobs are tougher. yes we can solo but geez it takes forever to kill things and the mobs are not going to get weaker the higher you go trust me lol, so bite the bullitt and get a group together you and your group/guild mates will have alot more fun and the kills will come alot more easily.

I'll give one more try on my Paladin.

He must be for group, and I hear that other classes, some more than others, are dificult to solo too.

Thanks for reply.

Try not to measure your worth on ^^^ MoBs... they are meant for group battles, not solo. It may be possible to defeat the odd green ^^^ if your armor is very good (for level) and your spells are upgraded.... and tactics are best employed as stated above.

"^^^" MoBs are set for 2-3 combatants, and are mostly underconned... read the MoB's description as you mouse over it's name! You ( and everyone) is better off looking for lots of blues to battloe for the best returns

Paladins are superb group tanks, and one of the best soloists in the game, interms of survival... but we do tend to "pray" things to death a bit... HAHHAA

Enjoy the class !

Asarum (Erithorn's Paladin cousin)

Agree with above posts...

Paladin is a great soloer and, though I'm not lvl 51, can kill green^^^ pretty easy(if they are not underconned). Unfortunately, we don't have the greatest DPS, but we can deal with damage pretty well (good survivability).

Just remember ward then pull, ward again when its ready, if the mob is hitting you harder then the normal(underconned)...don't heal (burns up your power to quickly) instead sprint the hell out of there and return with friends next time. Oh one last thing, make sure you upgrade your spells/CAs.

Good luck!

Paladin is about striking the right balance between many aspects rather than just emphasizing one or two. It requires a bit more thought to play as a result. Some recommendations:

- AD3 spells /CA. Loams are largely cheap below T8 so splurge a bit. At t8, AD3 is a must.

- Use mastercrafted devout armor where possible. Gives str / sta / Int.

- Use a good slow one-handed weapon and shield. Slow = greater crit hit rate / damage and shield bash is your friend.

- Spec AA for Str / Sta first. Get at least swift attack to do greater number of hits.

- Mix your kick / bash / spell stuns in the mix. Use the effect to recast ward or a heal if you need.

- Use offensive stance when soloing to kill faster. Shift to defensive only if it hits the fan.

- Use str or int potions to increase damage. Mastercrafted are relatively cheap in all tiers so why not use that little bit extra.

- Use adornments if you are going to hang around a tier for a bit with the same gear. Try those that increase damaage through attrs or provide a heal proc such as vampiric on weapons.

- Use the ward at the beginning and avoid healing unless you absolutely need since that takes huge power and they are largely slicing health while you take those actions.

Paladin is a fun class to play. Learn the best key sequences. I set up my first hot bar lefft to right with the sequence I like so it is straight to keep going. Typically I keep the fast recast to the left and then extend out with the ones I want to hit earlier in the sequence than later.

Enjoy the game and don't worry about one mob or the other. Lot of quests, groups, and eventually raids you can do.

Dude don't play a paladin to solo. We are okay at it, but there are many classes that completely smoke us solo. Get into groups where we are very effective. When I want to solo I log on my bruiser lol.

If you need to solo, i would recommend undead mobs, being as we have a self and a group proc that does double damage to them along with a combat art or 2. You will find that skeletons/ghosts and such are the bread and butter of quicker EXP. I agree with Fidelus tho, you are better off to have at least a duo then trying to solo in anything but tier 8 content(in ROK you fly thru quicker on solo quests then pretty much anything else). There are better soloers out there, but i wouldn't trade my paladin for any other class for the sheer usability i can play him as with different specs/gear. I hope it works out okay for you as when you level up you find some truely helpful unique spells in upcoming levels...

Best solo fighter would be one of the brawler I think, prolly bruiser. And yes, they are many other class that can kill a +++ heroic. If the mob isnt immune to root, bout any Mage can do it.

I dont agree with the fact pally are great soloer, we kinda suck at it. Yes we dont die, but the mob doesnt either lol. But on the plus side, you add a high dps (rogue is best) and you got one of the best duo for questing / farming blue/green heroic.

About your AA, its really up to you but I would prolly go with STR (4-8-8-2-1), STA (4-4-8-7-1). AGI isnt bad but its only take effect vs more then 1 mob and spell crit only affect like 4-5 spells maybe ?

Paladin is a decent solo class, but certainly not the best. You're almost never going to solo blue or higher con +++ heroics, and some green +++ heroics will be too hard. Other classes have a much easier time with these harder encounters (conjurors, rangers, other classes that can slow/root the target and DPS from range).

As for spell crit and all that...priortize in this order: DPS > DA > melee crit > spell crit. Spell crit provides far less yield than the other bonuses in terms of DPS.

LOL, I remember those days, soloing a green triple up and getting pawned!!! But that was then... when you had mc gear, mediocre weapons, no adornments, and that my freind is key here. I think that we are excellent soloers, and when you hit 80, and get all your stuff, you can take out blue triple ups, lots of fun. But I do remember the pain of trying to take out something 9 levels below. Hated it!
