Is Scourge useful in RoK?

<p>Hey guys, </p><p>I'm a mystic who posed this question over on my board, but didn't get much of a response.  I attribute that mainly to 99% of all mystics speccing pretty much down the same lines, so not too many of them have this ability (speculation on my part).  I'm hoping that with the spell crits and other perks in the INT line, perhaps a few more of my dark brethren are utilizing this ability.</p><p>Anyway, my question is - do you find Scourge to be a worthwhile ability against current content?  I know it can be pretty devastating in PvP combat, but I'm talking strictly about RoK raid mobs.  From what I hear on the other board, it seems to be little more than a glorified damage shield stripper.  Can any of you confirm some other effects stripped by Scourge?  Or is it only mildly useful and I should just continue with my current (non INT) AA build?</p><p>Thanks for any light you can shed on the subject!</p>

I can't comment on Scourge yet, as it will be the last of my AA points when I get them, but the Int line in itself if more of a Soloing spec than Raiding.  If you are a raiding Mystic, you'd probably be better off putting those points in one of the other AA lines. STR/WIS/AGI is a great raiding spec.That said, I do have an AA mirror, and have the Int line for my Soloing/Grouping spec.  A group of decently outfitted 80's can take most RoK mobs very fast, so the Dog's AA abilities don't add much.  With those points in the Int line, I, too, would like to see how Scourge works out for other Shaman.

There are a few mobs that i have had it be useful on (See Shadowknight mobs), but for the most part unless you play on PvP server, its preobably not worth the points.

<p>I'm solo (pretty much) leveling my 2nd Defiler and have this spec'd to make DPS a little easier...and it is very helpful.  I can't imagine it being more useful or worth the points if I were actually a grouping/raiding Defiler.  I'd like to have it if all heal crit/ward possibilities were maxed out, but not 'instead of'.  </p><p>When I get to T8, I will definitely spec out of it in favor of a healing spec.  When you are grouping/raiding, the debuffs you have are beyond plenty for a healer - and no one ever remotely expects you to DPS in a raid.  In fact, when you are in a tough fight, they'd rather you warded/healed instead of debuffing if you have to choose.</p>
