The test update notes mention the following change to a wizard spell line:The Burning Radiance line will now proc from ranged attacks.I am not sure this change will have the desired effect. That spell line is castable only on a group member; that spell line is not castable raid wide.So, if the change's purposes was to give a boost to ranged (i.e. ranger) dps in raids, then the change may be somewhat moot in one typical circumstance: when the wizard is in a mage dps group. A mage dps group typically consists of four mages, one healer, an one troubador; i.e. no rangers. The troubador conceivably could get some benefit from the change, but not a ranger in another group.That spell line already costs a concentration slot for each group member it is cast on. Perhaps that spell line could be changed to be castable raid wide, instead of just group wide. The concentration slot requirement already limits the number of players the spell can be cast on.I have had a dirge in a different group request that spell from me. That dirge was disappointed w hen told I could only cast the spell on group memb ers. It is not uncommon for a wizard to have free concentation slots in a raid because that spell is not castable raid wide.-Leucippus
