Are swashis intended to be played in jump'n'run style? One CA requires this technique: Eye Point and its ancestors.

Why has this CA the requirement to be executed IN FRONT of the enemy? Usually a swashi has to stand behind the enemy to exploit his full potential... which is not a problem. The only annoying thing is Eye Point. Especially on big scaled raid mobs it is very annoing since often a simple single jump from the back of the mob "thought" the mob to its front is not sufficient.

Just remove the front positioning requirement from Eye Point. There are already enough CAs with a behind-requirement... who are not a problem by themselves. Just the front-requirement of one CA makes it all a bit annoying.

Well... Actually having to switch to different sides of the mob is the only thing that keeps me awoken during the 10000th CoA run I mean it's the funny part of positional classes, be jumping around the mob. No offense, but if you want to stand still while pushing buttons, play a caster ?

God forbid that you have to move around a little to stab something. Its the nature of being a scout, to position yourself best for the intended strike. Its always been this way, and its really not that big of a deal.

Last time I looked, eyes were predominantly on the front of most mobs. Kinda makes sense eh?

edit: spelling. early posting ftl

I don't know just kind of makes sense that a CA named EYE point would require you to be in front of the mob.

And every scout has positional attacks. It's the nature of things. Just be glad they aren't all attacks from behind. You would never be able to solo anything.

I love jumping around, back and forth, up and down, all around. Seriously lol It takes a little bit of skill to do when soloing and fun to do in groups. I can pretend I'm a swashbuckling pirate fighting enemies to the left of me and enemies to the right of me and even in front of me.

Personally, I have no issues with this. It's what seperates the DPS Swashy's to the higher end DPS Swashy's!

~Quilem Quickblade

First of all, you can be on the side, therefore, you can stand on the side of the mob for the entire fight, moving 1 inch to the back to cast Plunder (forget the upgrade name) and then move back 1 inch to cast Eye Point. WOAH! That's fuckin tedious! And as another one said, if you want to just cast and not move, play a spell caster.P.S. I'd bet you dont use your ranged CA either....

Indeed, I am the most lazy swashi. That's why I often outparse wizards even on single mobs. And I never use ranged attacks, especially not in raids with kicking mobs to keep up some dps during the 'kick time'.

Just wonder if other scout classes have such a jump factor. You also can't go by spell names. Eye Point... I don't see an animation stabbing into the eyes; you even can have turned your back to the enemy and nevertheless it can be performed. Spell/CA names are just names. Thousands of spells... devs have to assign them a name they accidently came across/could think of (with some coherence).

Personally I like running around the mob to dps, the positional attacking is fun, and it makes the character look true to what he is supposed to be while in combat.

How can you gauge a mob's eyes out so he can't parry your attacks if you're standing behind it? It's really not that difficult, try playing Half-Life.

They also have nearly the same style that only works from front or side
