Venril/OK BP drop rates

Does this mean that the BP's are actually worth using now too?Other than to transmute into adornments for Quest reward BP's that is....I dont mean to sound negative honestly, but imo you have just made the loot tables even worse, have heard similar from people playing other classes as well.

As was stated in the update notes, they have a chance to drop breastplates in addition to their existing drops.  I'm not sure how adding the chance to drop more items makes their loot tables worse... Even if all you do is transmute the drops.

I think he means making it worse in that, in general, the armor sets for most classes are pretty darn lame, so by having the chest pieces added into the loot tables of Venril and the Overking, you are diluting the chances of the decent items in their loot tables from dropping even further.

Yes, for example, we wouldn't want any subclass BP to drop instead of say, the Venril cloak.  But if they could drop both, meaning the BP is an additional item, that would be fine <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />agressiv

Would like to see the smart loot system at least brought into these two zones for the set gear since it's not all that great. The cloak drop rates should be up'd imo...especially the caster one <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Sorry I guess I wasn't clear.  The breastplates don't replace anything, now they have a chance to drop a breastplate as an additional drop.  So their treasure tables are the same as they ever were, except now there is one more item that <i>can</i> drop.  Nothing has been diluted.  Before this change Venril guaranteed 2 drops with a chance for up to 4.  Now he guarantees the same 2 drops with a chance for up to 5.All of the armor sets are already on smart tables.

  I am sorry to say smart loot doesn't work in at least T1 and T2 zones.  More times then not I seen the cleric forearms drop 90+% before another item will drop in TPR even then it's an item everyone has.  To be even more exact I seen the whole zone drop nothing but the cleric class items when both clerics in the raid had every piece already.  Shouldn't the these mobs drop other subclass loot and not the same subclass set repeatedly?  Let alone Venril has dropped predator legs when both classes had their legs and several other classes didn't have their subclass legs.

while your attention is in this thread can you check the % chance on the PR drops? i just cant believe its random chance that causes 90% of the gamewide population that does PR to see cleric items week after week after week.

<p>The thing with the Cleric pieces is that there's a Cleric set named Transcending which mostly don't drop for us and should be on smart loot and there's a second 'set' (no set bonuses) of Cleric drops and I bet this second 'set' doesn't use smart loot.</p><p>Resolute Vambracers, Cardinal's Tonlets, Constructs Engineer's Mitts, Light's Hope BP all drop in PR and all of the are Inq/Templar only, and all on them aren't on smart loot. With a lot of other stuff that drops there like the Crusader Symbol which also isn't on smart loot.</p><p>To complete that set: Bloodbath Barbute-Pawbuster, Jade Restoration Pauldrons-Venril and the Task master's Greaves-Taskmaster Nichok</p>

We have been raiding PR about a month after release 1-2 times a week and we have never seen any set items drop for the following classesPaladin/SkDefiler/MysticCoercer/IllTroubadour/DirgeHave seen 1 Piece drop forGuardian/BerserkerHave seen between 3-4 forBrigand/SwashCOnj/NecroDont recall the other classes drops off the top of my head but we have for example never seen a help drop for any class.The problem with a lot of the set pieces in and of themselves is that they suck [Removed for Content] and the only reason you would wear them is to get a set bonus which at the current drop rate you should get sometime during EQ4 release.

<p>I have cleared Pro Realm twice per week since early RoK, and have never seen a class hat drop off of Imzok's Revenge, and very little else off other mobs in the zone.  That is not RNG bad luck, we are talking 30+ trips.</p><p> Kor-sha and Leviathan seem to drop stuff okay, but Pro Realm definately has issues. </p>

To be honest I think all the mobs that drop a set piece should drop some set piece AND some other piece of loot.  I have never seen Zykluk drop bracer's for example but hes dropped the traitors crown about 50 times.
