<p>Not sure if this is the right forum for this but...</p><p>I have been making furniture for my apartment and I was wondering. Is there a way to rotate the items when I place them? As is right now I can only put things like book shelfs against one wall.</p>

Lets just give you the works for object control when placing an item.  If you have a mouse wheel on your mouse, scrolling it by default gives you rotation control.  You only get to rotate on one axis tho as far as I know.  You can also hold your Ctrl Key on your keyboard and again use your mouse wheel to increase the height of an item.  Also, holding Alt key gives you fine control when rotating or elevating (elevating uses ctrl + alt + mouse wheel) for precise positioning.
