So what are we exactly these days in t8? My bruiser is only 78 and hasn't gotten geared up the way he needs to be just yet. I have all adept 3 up to my level and mostly legendary gear and at that level I'm out dps'd by a lot of classes that normally wouldn't out do me. (zerkers, guardians)I find tanking in t8 to be some-what challenging. More-so than T7. Though I used to feel like I was pretty adequate dps too. Now I feel like I'm not exactly filling either roll very well. I might just need more levels and gear.Anyway the point of my post is the following question:How do you feel about your bruiser now in t8?

I feel my bruiser is pretty much similar to what she was in T7 - a hybrid tank/dps classer, that isn't the best at either but can do both just fine.I have a couple of masters and the rest adept III and pretty much all legendary gear with one or two fabled. On raids, I typically come in the top five dps, depending on the group I'm in. In group situations I'm usually top dps, even if I'm tanking.Tanking-wise, I haven't had much of a problem. I can tank any heroic group monster I've come across and often do so in a group of three with a swashbuckler and a warden. Recently we've made it down into deep Chardok for quests, which are level 83-84^^^ monsters. Hopefully when you've hit level 80, 140aa, and have adorned all your equipment, you'll find yourself doing better. I believe it's just a matter of maxing out your character and you'll notice quite a difference.Regarding being out-dpsed by zerkers - they seem to do an incredible amount of damage nowadays depending on what group they are in with the additional 20aa in each tree that they received. I find a well-equipped one is generally doing about the same amount of dps as me, so that's just something we have to get used to. I haven't the same trouble with guardians, however since they have the same 20 additional aa in their warrior tree they also got a good boost to their dps.

<p>I feel about the same as Aclydis. I can tank any t8 instance well and I've been told by some defilers and wardens that they prefer healing me in an instance rather than any of the plate tanks (on pvp server, so that's guardian, berserker, or sk). I have a respec mirror, so if I'm gonna go do an instance, I'll go respec to my defensive aa's (stam and int line). That beefs up my defenses so that healing me is rather easy. I stay in my dps aa spec if I'm out in the open simply because I'm on a pvp server.</p><p>In raids, I do make the top 5 parse a good bit. I top parse frequently on any raid trash when chi and knockout is up. In protectors realm, it's always nice to pad the dps parse on the skelly adds using dev fist (they aren't named and they aren't true epics, so getting a 90k+ dev fist hit on them is pretty common and helps us alot since we are on pvp server and don't have access to all classes <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. But yeah, it also depends on what group I'm in. Being a bruiser, we aren't a needed class for any raid. Alot of times we just get thrown anywhere in a raid, but if by some lucky chance I get in a group with a dirge, my parse is way higher.</p>
<p>I am only speaking for myself here so don't beat me up. I enjoy this class more than anyother class I have played hands down. Yes I do feel like the tread reads at times when I am in a raid and get one shotted by a mob does make me go Hummm??? On the dps spectrum I do feel that my non fabled bruiser is doing ok but with the hit rates in rok I seem to struggle at times. The only gripes I have is the being one shot killed by epics and feel we are missing dps buffs somewhere (as compaired to a monk getting all their self haste), but that can be somewhat attained in the proper group.</p>
<span style="font-size: medium;font-family: times new roman, times;">Bruiser is a [Removed for Content] great class. Stop bleating. The only thing we lack in is end-game raiding and raiding is for girls anyway.</span>
ROFL Owain! You bust me up bro.

Glad to know you guys are doing well and enjoying yourself in t8. This confirms my previously mentioned belief that I probably just need more gear and my last 2 levels. So thanks to those of you who had thought-out replies, its exactly what I wanted to know.
<p>Well we all need more gear hehe. I do not like the fact that most brawlers did not see appropriate brawler armor for all those kylong to jarsath waste quests. Rings, earrings and waist items are good though. Mastercrafted and quested weapons are getting better.</p>

I find the bruiser the most useless class since Kunark, personally i have retired my lvl80 bruiser. Its extremely hard to find groups , at least on my server, as a bruiser. If groups want dps they go for mage or scout, if they want a tank the go for guardian or paladin.I find my self outdps'd by inquisitors and furys. I have all legendary and some fableds, my CAs and buffs are all AIII, so.....You guys claiming to be on top 5 lists on raids either have seriously lazy mages and scouts or just boasting, cause thats not gonna happen.Yes the occasional dev fist might get you a few spots, but overall dps is craphola. Our tanking might be decent when you get into fabled but otherwise, forget it.If you look at most of the drops and rewards in kunark its obvious SOE doesnt like bruisers/monks at all.Disgruntled and retired bruiser.
<p>Well I have noticed here the past three weeks or so that attendance has dropped on my freinds list big time (26 freinds exactly) and in the guild I am in. It has been tough finding group period. I think bruisers are just having a very rough time in general since this expansion and here lately is where most other players (including bruisers) are noticing this. The extra 40 aa's that each class received benefited some classes more than others in certain areas and that could be a reason why we are seeing classes throwing out better than average dps.</p><p>Anyways hope you all have a great summer! Enjoy.</p>

<p>My Bruiser is 80 and has high end Legendary gear mostly. But I was able to tank CoA just fine, with 2 healers, at 78 I think with much worse equipt than I have now. So to the OP, you should be able to do CoA. But once you get 80 with better gear, you will be able to do alomost every instance. Right now, the only one I have a bunch of trouble with is Maidens. The sisters get me pretty good. But I don't think it is a lack of me, AI think it has been a lack of the mezzers.</p><p>So, you will be fine once you hit 80 and upgreade gear. Actually, most of the top legendary stuff is from 78-79 anyway....go be living in CoA, where you can tank, and the other one...blah...cant think of the name.....in middle difficulty wise in JW, where you wont tank right now but will later.</p><p>And by the way, I am speced for dps, not tanking.</p><p>As far as groups go, I usually make my own. I send out a message if there is a group who needs me, if nothing I just make my own. It usually happens pretty fast, though sometimes it can take a while. But just start making your own group, it's very easy..."CoA group forming, pst if interested" thats it. Just solo around til you fill up and head out. Usually what happens is, 1 or 2 people join, then you just keep puttin out the word and fill as they come. It can take 5 minutes or 1 hour. But CoA really only takes 1 hour to do on an average, done it alot faster than that at times. </p><p>At any rate, if you build it they will come. </p><p>We are a hybrid, but we can tank almost every/if not every instance in RoK, so you and the rest will be fine.</p>
