There will be many deaths soon to come in Norrath. Muwahaha. Erm, I just touched this game for the first time a month or two ago, went from Conjuror to SK. I wanted to be a tank ^_^. Could anyone do some comparisons between SK's and Berserkers? I'm curious as my friend is a Berserker.

<p>Soloing the Sk has a nice edge due to our lifetaps, Beserkers can solo effeciently, just not as well as SKs.</p><p>Lower levels they are fairly equal, the Beserker is the melee dps while the SK does a combination of spell/melee dps.</p><p>At higher levels, the beserker will start getting an edge on dps escpecially while tanking.  The shadow knight in the right group can put out impressive dps, but its a bit easier with the beserker.  But we also have our lifetaps which evens out the issue a bit.</p><p>Grouping, both are effecient tanks, the beserker has an edge on agro.  But we can do it fine, as long as the dps classes doen't go nuts. </p><p>If you plan on raiding at the higher levels, it will be tough on either class, both have issues on raid desirabilty.  Beserkers have some nice dps buffs for melee classes, SK will increase the casters spell damage in a raid.  Problem is with the soft cap in both areas, and high end gear having plus spell damage and dps modes it decreases the desirabilty for each.  Beserkers have an edge against us in straight tanking at higher levels, but they of course are no where near the guardians.</p><p>SK are an extremly fun class to play, and if you are just planning on soloing/small grouping they can be a blast.  If you want to eventually get into the raiding department, it will be difficult with either class.  Unfortunatly Sony still has figured out how to fix non guardian tanks desirabilty for raiding.</p><p>Hope that answers your questions.</p>

You can actually raid with an SK- even MT with one, if the guardian gets stuck in traffic at universal studios. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I had no problem (other than mental) MTing vs lvl81 epics.

<p>Raiding with an SK is very doable, its groups where SKs lack. As many others will say, an SK can do everything, but a guardian can tank better, a zerker dps better an SKs main thing is soloing imo. </p><p>Well you might say, an SK can do both roles, cool! Actually currently a guardian can dps more than an SK and a zerker hold agro better than an SK, so in reality an SK has no real benefit over the other 2 classes unless you solo. I'll say it again for those posters, an SK CAN do everything, but the other classes do it more efficiently.</p><p>Pick a zerker.</p>
