Shard of Hate is up and ready for testing. The entrances are in Neriak and in Nektulos. Please put any feedback on the encounters and items here. Thanks and have fun!

Mobs seem to have a short aggro range.

Entrance in Nektulos standing at the same point as the inqui's epic may cause some problem perhaps?

Too easy to solo ;P

Solo? Is this a raid zone or group?

It's a raid zone, but a FDer can get through the entire zone without a death. There are a LOT of "safe spots" (and some of them are VERY large safe spots) in the zone as well.I had little problem scouting out the place on my Bruiser. I died once when I first went in and decided to kamikaze myself to see how far I'd get but after that and taking on a more "scout mission" mentality, I got through everywhere (even got an AP from disco) without a problem.Seeing as I didn't get the chance to raid the zone, my feedback is only about the layout.

While it is well laid out and leads you further in, unless there are doors you can enter after killing certain named mobs, it seems VERY small. So I hope those doors at the castle do open and there is more content behind them.

I was disappointed there weren't more buildings you could go into. It just seemed to be endless buildings without means of getting in or out, even for its inhabitants.

The mobs, particularly the named, really do have small agro ranges. I was able to get 10 feet to the Maestro without agro. I was close enough I could see his face.

I was disappointed the Maestro wasn't a new model liken to the EQ1 Maestro. Using the old world Vampire model was very blah. An EoF Vampire model with dark hair and a tatty cloak would have been been preferable to the one he is now. I'm hoping it's just a placeholder.

I liked the little touches in the zone though. There is one "garden" area where there is a tiny gargoyle hiding under a root. That was cool.

Only a few Pity no one has raided the zone yet and given any feedback. IMO, that aspect of SoH is far more important than the aesthetics I've posted about.

Maybe a guild or two would be willing to /testcopy over to raid it. I'd certainly volunteer, but at lvl 74 and raiding very infrequently, I don't think I have either the levels or the gear to survive.

I can't believe Roger finally realized that damage shields should proc off all damage not just melee. This is great news!

Ya god forbid we should allow healers to do any DPS whatsoever. Healer casts a DoT? Say goodbye to 20% of your mana.

Yeah, I testcopied my toon over to pvp test and ran around the zone. Looks pretty cool, lots of trash tho. Since there is that much trash in the zone hopefully the trash will have loot tables?? It will be a major bummer to waste hours killing trash with absolutely no chance of reward for it. I tried to get a pick up raid going but it seemed only like 10-15 people were on the server? Trying to talk the rest of my guild into copying over on test to try this kind of stuff out, but it's like beating my head against a wall. Maybe if the testcopy wasnt for the pvp server then more people would do it. I just dont have the free time to level a toon to 80 on test, or I would.

Where is this zone intended to fall within the T8 raid progression?

Ok, we had about two groups of people copy over to test to check this zone out. The trash mobs actually drop loot, which is very nice, I'm glad we aren't just wasting time killing trash. We didn't have enough people on to actually kill any of the names, but we did some pulls to check them out also. Some seem the right difficulty, but some, like the first name when you go in to the left (Master Whats-his-name) is kind of rediculous. He uses a curse, for the new cure healers get. The problem is the curse is raid wide, and cure curse is single target on a 60 second recast. This should be looked in to imo. Perhaps make cure curse a shorter recast, or a group cure.
