Fast-Travel.... To Character Select Screen?

Sometimes, seems random, but when I use a fast-travel (i.e. bells at Freeport), it loads for a sec, and then goes to the char select screen and I have to wait ~3 minutes to log back in because it says I still have a character logged in.What's the deal? D:

This happens on and off, anyone else experiencing this?

Are you behind a firewall or router?  If so, you may need to open some ports.

I would also agree that this seems like a router type issue.  Check to be sure you have proper port forwarding set up.
