A lot of SK's want our class tweaked, here is a great opertunity. In the devs round table there is a poll. The dev are creating a class to play on the test server. All SK's need to vote for our class. Then the devs can see first hand our complaints. Thank you for reading now go vote.

I voted, but unless they plan on raiding imo them playing a SK casually is not going to get the fixes that we want to see. Casual game-play SK's are fine and fun to play...its at the top end that we need help.

I think that won't help much. They don't play highlevel toons, and for soloing/grouping especially in old pre-EoF content SK is really a strong and fun class.

I will agree that at low lvl's we are more powerful, however, just about all the classes are. And the higher we get you beat have some decent gear. I think we will all agree that our tanking and dps greatly depends on gear. Now ask youself how did we get our gear. Lots and lots of groups and raids. Now log on test and see how many people are on. Not many and raiding I really don't see that happening. So this is a great opertunity for soe to see how bad the non raiding t8 gear is and the fact all our spells are under power

I wish people would realize its less the -insert non Guardian tank class here- than its the [Removed for Content] way EQ2 raids are set up that allows people to have raids with only 2 tank classes in the raid in a game with SIX tank classes.

While I do agree with you on the encounter changes for more then two tanks, I do disagree though on the strengths of Guardians vs other tanks ... well paladins are fairly strong at end game now.

Guardians are doing up to or more dps then SK and beserkers, and they have more taunts and better surviavile skills. They are now king of tanks in basicly every aspect of tanking now, and its not likely to change. This isn't say nerf Guardians, but the so called dps tanks need an upgrade to have a decided edge on dps while tanking.

They should also make mobs and change fighter abilities that promote having a deversivication of tank classes vs the standard Guardian/paldin setups we see now for MT/OT. If they changed just having to have multiple tanks for encounters, its likely we would see raids with something like 3 guardians, 2 paladins and what ever was available.

I hate saying that all the tanks need looking at (nightmares of LU13 anyone), but they have to do something.

I'm not sure what content you're playing, but my experience has been that an SK can tank anything as long as that's what they concentrate on. You can't tank and uber DPS, but SKs have more than enough aggro control with their Hate line of AA's plus Death March. I tank for groups of 6 who can hit 12k+ DPS as a group, without anyone dying because I lost aggro. You have to select your gear more carefully than most other classes- there's not a clearly defined uberset of instance gear for SK. It can be done though. If you're having problems tanking I suggest first getting as many adept III's as possible- then looking closely at the order in which you use your abilities. Go for speed initially, worry about slower skills later. Reserve Death March for when you lose aggro and need it back quick.

Hey, thanks for the link so went ahead to vote. SK now at 15% only 1% next to zerker 16% and coercer only at 19% now. Get on your hateful to vote for SK to overtake Coercers!

Don't care if it's pointless or not. Better do something than NOTHING and being passive about it.. Go and vote!

SK is currently least played tank of all fighter class so far as I noticed.. I switched to play my 80 bruiser ALOT lately cuz it's alot fun to play and he already tanks better than Sk in group setting, sadly. So far in groups as dps role, I kept seeing tanks as zerker, guardian or paladin.. Very rarely that I finally saw SK joined as tank.. I noticed the aggro management from all 4 tanks. SK got worst aggro management that forced me to switch to deaggro proc. All other three tanks I mentioned above is that I had no problem keeping aggro+dd proc on and not taking aggro. Paladins LOVE to put amend on me to transfer aggro to him and he held mobs very well to himself. SK aggro has no comparable tool as paladin's...

Every skilll is at least adept III. Great you hold agro in a six man group, likely with a hate transfer from someone. Try it without hate transfer with some hard hitting brigands and wizards. Now compare our hate skills to guardians and paladins!

But raids, Guardians are king, they own every other tank in the game. You can count the number of MT SK in tier 8 on one hand, and the dps spread between us and Guardians is almost non-excistant. Paladins are picked for OT role now due to all their agro tools.

Saying that everything is great at end game ignores the facts and leaves SK being the LEAST desired raid class in the game. If you don't believe me, look at every thread on raid classes desirability, we are always at the bottom. And to cut off the standard "its the player behind the keyboard BS" argument, every class has good players and bad players, but our class is still hurting in raid desirabilty, so that argument is bogus!
