I'm going to be headed off to college next year (go Yellow Jackets!), and in doing so will be leaving my desktop behind in favor of a brand new laptop. The new machine should have no problems running EQ2 from a technical standpoint: it has a 2.6GHz Intel Dual Core Processor, 4 gigs of RAM, and a 512MB nVidia 8600 GT. There's only one problem...it's a Mac. Now I know that for some strange reason there's no EQ2 Mac client, but my question is this: does anyone know how well it will run through Boot Camp (essentially an Apple-Supported dual boot setup)? According to Mac's website there should be little to no problem running programs speed wise, but since they don't specifically mention games (let alone EQ2 itself), I'm hoping I may be able to get a more straightforward answer here. I'm hoping it runs at least as well as my current machine, which shouldn't be hard considering it's four years old, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have an older version of the MacBook Pro from work It had been my EQ2 box for the last year and a half. I run it in balanced mode. While the display is dull (colors aren't very crisp) it should do well for you. It has also been very solid in the fact that it just doesn't crash, not once since I have used it for EQ2. I even ran two accounts on it at once. Don't know if it will match your PC however, don't know what its specs are. Here are my MacBook specs: Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254) Language: English (Regional Setting: English)System Manufacturer: Apple Computer, Inc.
