My wife and I would both like to roll Scout classes. Brigand for myself, she would like to roll an Assasin. How would this team fair in heroics (green/blue) not so much for the farming, we enjoy doing the heroic quest lines together, killing named here and there would be nice as well. If this is an absolutely horrid I idea.. What other class has stealth and would make a good duo partner with an Assasin (melee preferable)?

The brigand stuns is what make them the best at tanking over the other scout class. If you had the Swashy abilities to debuff mobs DPS its just make tanking even easier. Also the swashy AoE DPS will help vs encounter.

Dirge or troub might be a good idea also. But if your goal is to have the best fun possible with a scout duo. Then go swashy/ brigand all the way

I say brig/assassin duo would be great.

Just practice stunning with the brig and both backstabbing and no mob will be still be up after that beating.

I'm saying this because Brig/Dirge in a duo isn't as good IMO since the fights would be so short that the DPS buffs wouldn't make a big difference. In a duo its better getting the mob down really fast = brig/assassin.

Ranger/ Swashy is a really good combo. Swashy tanks and ranger nukes without having to kite.

The only area a brigand and an assassin would have troubles in is dealing with multiple mobs. Swashbuckler is more equipped at dpsing against multiples but I'm not sure if it would be enough to help that much without a healer anyway.

I think swashy and assassin is a good choice for a pair. I don't think a bard would bring enough personal dps to be worth bringing along in place of the assassin. Dirge needs to be buffing at least 3 people or so to outweigh the usefulness of more pure dps in my opinion.

Duos can be very powerful in EQ2. A monk and I duoed in chardok and got to the palace a week ago and that included duoing some level 84 heroics to get him his keys....speaking of a good duo you might want to look into that one (monk and brigand), buti t won't shine until tsunami and possibly peel.

Anyone can (and should, imo) run to Timorous Deep. Swashy/Brig sounds like an awfully fun combo to me; ton of dps, ton of utility-woohoo!

Noruh wrote:
Monk/Brigand, with the monk tanking?
We have considered this duo also. Bruiser/Brigand combo. As interesting as some of the others sound they involve Queynos and to be honest.. that disgusts me. Enough of you have said though that Assasin/Brigand can work.. So I think we may very well try that combo first.

That way the brig doesn't have to tank... and there's no way a brigand would sacrifice himself for someone else.

I did the Brig/Assassin combo for a while with a friend, and it worked out well. I tanked, he did dps. It's even more effective once you get a decent amount of AAs and can get some better defensive abilities from the STA line. It's not the most effective combo, but it does work fairly well.I personally would reccomend Brigand/Dirge for the ultimate 2-scout combo. Brigand tanks, obviously, and the dirge gets awesome utility for increased offense and defense. Also, Dirges get a pretty nice heal, and a couple of ressurection abilities. Plus, 2 scouts means 2 Escape abilities! I'd say from personal experience that either of these 2 combos would be your best bet in the long run though. Oh, and dirges also get a sick run speed buff! you'll never need to buy mounts!

If you are thinking and playing a scout class you should quit b/c you are gimping yourself and your guild.

j/k, maybe.

But in all seriousness, you could do (random class) and (DPS scout) and it would probably work as a duo
