Not to long ago, I was in Fallen Gate and attacked the four dark halflings: Baelhyme, Bahzule, Blythe and Bouhla when one of them said in Stout that they must obey the will of the Overfiend. I was stunned - never heard of this Overfiend or seen them. Any information on the Overfiend or who it could be?

Alu

Sounds to me like they're just another bunch of Halflings who were taken over by shadowmen.

Well the overfiend is an epic mob inside rivervale if I remember correctly. Course this ties into the "Shadowman" lore which is very clouded as to what exactly is going on. So far there's only been hints/ideas and some theories, but as to how correct they are *shrug*.

Incidentally, there was also the Thought Horror Overfiend on Luclin in EQ1, and the thought horrors did have a penchant for mind control.

I always pictures it as Eyes = scouts/sentriesNightblood = Shocktroops/InfantryShadowedmen = Officers/special forcesyou simply don't send infantry to take over powerful people like those we found on the list in OoB/OoLS. the Nightbloods in Rivervale seem to be more like slave masters or guards to me to make sure the Halflings are converted/corrupted or kept contained.and that's the other thing, there's been no sign at all that the Nightbloods aren't anything more then enslaved/hired muscle. and the nightbloods in OoB don't seem to be doing really anything more then torturing fae/arasai to a point where the Shadowedmen can possess them...the whole method they seem to work with is possess/corrupt/convert an area, and then bring in the Nightbloods/Eyes to defend it and reinforce it until they can further spread thier influence.

They're the ones who wander the hallways in the Obelisk of Lost Shadows, and it is a shadowman who summons two of them to fight you off when you're trying to make your way to the lower levels of the obelisk.

But where would we place the Void Creatures? They seem to be on the low end of the totem pole, being nothing more than summoned servants and such.

THO keeps popping up in my mind when seeing the word overfiend.. There was a shade faction found in the the Deep, that was quite out of place compared to the rest of the zone. http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/s...h.shtml?id=7327

I don't think those are really of a value. They're probably expecting to use the possessed fae to get closer to Woushi and get the dragon under their power. They wanted those that are actually important or close to the one that are of an importance ... like Fiddy, Woushi, Kyle Bayle, etc. Now ... those might have a higher rank.

Just my supposition.

A question I have is about the gods and how they relate to the creatures of the Void.Cazic Thule seems to have both Eyes and Void Beasts working for Him. Has the Faceless cut a deal of some sort with the Void?
