The 27th is fast approaching and will be the last day that auctions will be conducted through the SOE Station Exchange service. Beginning on the 31st of March, Live Gamer will begin operation the auctions on the Bazaar and Vox.

As we approach the 31st, we will begin to scale back the auction choices. Beginning March 19th, you will no longer be able to create 7 day auctions. Each day the auction length options will be reduced so that by the 27th of March, all auctions will cease in preparation for the transition of service.

Leading up to the transition, we recommend you pre-register for the Live Gamer service, which you can do at this address http://register.livegamer.com/. Those who pre-register prior to the 27th will recieve a promotional item.

EQII players with active, fully-paid, entitled EQII subscriptions in good standing who complete pre-registration for a Live Gamer account between March 6, 2008 and March 27, 2008 will receive an EQII house item, a Pot of Gold*, for each EverQuest II character existing or created on either the Vox or The Bazaar server as of March 27, 2008 for the Station Account that is tied to the Live Gamer account. Other terms and conditions apply.

Additional details concerning the transition from the EverQuest II Station Exchange to the Live Gamer Exchange are available at http://stationexchange.station.sony...om/livegamer.vm and http://www.livegamer.com/hotnews.php#FAQ.

~Gnobrin!

Will the new Live Gamer service be available to European players, or do the Station Exchange servers as we know them now remain off-limits to non-US residents after the changeover?

I don't have the actual answer, but I suggest that you check the Live Gamer site to see if they have any information about international support. They may not provide it, but the best place to get an authoritative answer is with them.

Thanks Grimwell. One of the reasons I dislike this change is because as a SOE customer playing a SOE game I expect SOE to run it and know about it, but of out of necessity I did find an answer to my question on the Live Gamer site as a result of which this aspect of EQ2 remains academic to me. The service will continue to be available only to US residents both in respect of buying and selling.
