Just a question really as I know the game engine was designed around raw cpu power for most everything and the engine is designed for single core use. To make the gpu handle more than it does would require completely scraping the game engine altogether and basically making a new game from the ground up.Why couldn't the other core do the processing of the shadows?Seems like one of the best features in the game that makes it look phenomenal is also the one thing that really puts to much load on the cpu for any decent gameplay.Almost everything built now uses dual core and it seems such a waste that all this extra processing power is not being used.

I agree. It would be nice to have an offiical word on the future of the game engine.

64 bit

Dual/quad core support

Better utilize the video cards

SLI support

Even if the reply is there are no current plans to accomodate any of the above if communicated as such at least then we would know without having to speculate.

Is it possible to have SOE do a state of the game newsletter. Talk about the hardware advancements in one section, taut the success of the game now approaching 4 years old etc. I think the communication would be greatly appreciated by the vast majority of the playerbase.
