I see so many chairs and benches teasing me as my legs are getting tired from running from mobs. I do not feel comfortable sitting like a girl. So could you please implement the beaches and chairs allowing me to sit down, just for awhile. Or make the male characters a more masculine animated sitting style, please....

I'm thinking of starting a thread entitled 'Fix arrows for flying Beastlords that can't sit down or hit anything with broken melee hit rates and high caster resist rates'. That way I'll cover all the commonly flogged horse corpses. It does, however, lack punch.

Good point. And if I did want to discuss or learn about seating within the game, I would use the thread linked in the second post that contains numerous viewpoints and even Developer commentary outlining why it is difficult to achieve. No need to waste this one rehashing all that eh?

That way we can see which dead horse is winning!Sitting... wow... its been less than a week since that came up. Has it even scrolled off the front page?

If they had done it correctly, there would of been one skeleton system scaled to the different races. The artwork would be simplified in scaling each person sitting in a chair or bench. In other words, one set of artwork would need to be done.

As it is now, every race has it own skeleton system. So, you'd have to draw the artwork for each race sitting in each different type of bench, chair, etc. The chair itself would have to be redrawn to fit each race's skeleton. We're talking about a huge art effort. Almost an expansion amount of work. (At least, this is how I understand the issue)

If they ever get the skeleton revamp system done, hopefull, we'll see more stuff like emotes, sitting, armor types, etc.

If its such a dead horse topic why does it come up so often? Its not that it can't be done, just that it would use a lot of resources to make proper interactable furniture like chairs, and the Devs believe there time is best spent elsewhere. Heck it took 2 years to get cloaks, and that was a dead horse topic too before they arrived!I think considering the amount of times this topic is brought up perhaps the Devs should rethink the priority on this.Do we really want guild halls we cannot sit down in???

Forget sitting, most of my toons haven't slept since they were born. They just stare day after day at their beds, silently weeping as they so dearly wish they could lay down and sleep. They tried the hair of the dog drink which was said to cure their insomnia but, it only works for 5 minutes which is pure torture for them (not to mention horrible nightmares of humans with no nostrils during those 5 minutes of tease-sleep).One day I found my poor ratonga face-down at the bottom of a cliff with a note: "And the sleeps finally come at lasts". RIP Harvee, my poor poor friend.

New players try out the game, see all the spiffy house items and get confused when they can't sit on them. They post a "why can't we..." thread either without searching for the existing threads or they think the ones they do find are so outdated that they think "surely they've fixed it by now" and post anyway.
I'd love it if the environment were more interactive. Just look at how fun Oblivion is to see why. You can sit on chairs. Heck you can even bump into things... that gets annoying after a while, but it's pretty funny the first time you run into a shop a little too quick and knock a plate halfway across the room because you "bumped" the counter. There seem to be a lot of things in game that folks have wanted changed for a long time, but many of them have the general response that the work needed to implement said change is either not an option or not proportional to the benefit. You never know, maybe all the dead horses will get rezzed for EQ3 someday.
