Hi,

People have been fairly quiet alately regarding problems they see regarding the epic weapon, and Paladins tanking in general, this is due mainly to the dev chat mentioning that the Paladin epic is being looked in to.

Can we have confirmation that the concearns discussed on here with regards the epic weapon, and Paladins being classed as second rate tanks (the whole non primary tanks post) is being looked at.

I think really the time as come to improve the weapon for tanking, and improve the way divine aura, divine favour and our heal mechenism works while tanking.

Divine aura doesnt work as it used to and is an ability that doesnt stack up to guards short term tank boosts anymore.

Divine favour has always been an unfair and unused ability and again doesnt stack up.

Our heals are said to be what we have to combat the above but they are constantly interupted while in a MT situation so there not used as much as we can.

As everyone is being nice and waiting on what lu44 bring I just wanted official confirmation that the above are being looked at in a similar way that the Zerkers have had confirmation tha their concearns are being looked at in the zerker forums.

Regards

Kahling

I might be a fool but I dont think Divine Aura is all that bad, maybe shorten recast, I would hate to see any enhancements to the spell from the epic; It is a spell that see's limited use.

Here's an idea nerf guardian DPS to a reasonable level and give them HUGE taunts, kinda seems like what the class was meant for and not the 4-5k DPS they can do.

Up the DPS of crusaders, seeing how 2.5-3k is a bit low, I'll leave recomendations on how to up crusader dps to the pros @ soe, but I will offer a hint, it is not by adding + CA or +spell damage unless they are % based increases accross the board; keep in mind the low damage on our CA's and spells.

Add avoidance via +10 parry (remove the AGI from the pool, lower HP and power if more points are needed) add some shield effectiveness, blah blah same old stuff thats been mentioned since the item was discovered.

Hi,

Sorry MadB you misunderstand. I think divine aura should just be tweaked to work in T8 as well as it did in T7, not fixed with a weapon. (although personally I would like to see divine aura be a little better on reuse time as well to be in line with some of the guard abilities)

Heh, I wish they would do something useful to the Wis/Fear Immunity AA line:

Fear Immunity isnt much needed if decent healer cures are available - add something like a % stun/AE resist to it or GROUP Fear Immunity,

Group HP Regen is a joke, increase it by 10 times or make it group mana regen,

Increasing skill level +38 doesnt increase the hits on orange raid mobs in any measurable way, so whats the point? + ministration reduces mana on heals I suppose but thats not enough to spend AA on given the small mana reduction, make this a boost to hit orange raid mobs that actually works or replace it with something useful like a % stun/AE resist.

And they wonder why we are funneled into cookie cutter AA choices.

Unfortunately there isnt much evidence that anything we say has much effect, hence the pretty much total lack of feedback. It appears Devs join some top Guilds and use them to playtest content in return for sneak previews of upcoming instances etc. There doesnt seem any Dev interaction on this forum.
