Ok, so in finally getting my new computer to run the game fine and normal I start on the quests around qeynos. and when i enter the tradeskill instance or the boss at the end of the main questline instance, my ping shoots up to 8k and doesnt drop untill i leave, which can take some time as you can imagine with a ping that high.everywhere else runs fine, i sit at an average of about 200-300 ping, which for being on wireless i dont have a problem with, but not being able to enter any instances... thats a real problem, anyone got any ideas.*oh and my wireless signal is excellent as i am only about 10 feet from the wireless router, there is just no way to get a wire safely or easily across the room to make it hardwired online.

I get that on wired...so that is real good...But, there must be something up if you shooting up that high for those specific area's...What is your wireless signal (B or G)...also can you maybe test a wired connection to see if this happens (i.e: Yes...you will have to move temporarily to run this test)...first to router, then to modem?Good luck

Having 200-300 ping times is more on the border of "good" dial-up connection!

The newer wireless router/modems may have SPI invoked, causing Dynamic UDP port denials, or some other firewall configuration issue!

There is another computer running EQ2 wired to the router that does not experience the ping boost when going into the same exact instance, (grouped) as the new computer. As for the type of router, i have a Boosted G linksys, and a boosted G card on the computer.

I am on the East Coast and always idle at about 130-150 on a 6Mb cable line. As a comparison, I can hook up to WoW at 40-60, Guild Wars at 60-80....But, for some reason...Antonia always does these high peaks...and then if I get near a crafting station, or large populated area's, I can hit those 200-300 peaks....I will assume you think it is something wrong with my computer or [email protected] I suggest that you look at some various issues...First...do you have a wireless phone in the house? 2.4Ghz?Second...Have you checked to make sure the channels match on the card and router? Usually they should default to the same...but, if not, this could cause issues...But, I have seen how certain locations seem to flood the network adapter, like populated areas...even goofy stuff, like I see spikes in data when an NPC salutes me (weird)Let us know about these items above..Thanks

I havnt checked the channels yet, but if they were off it should be showing in other places besides just instances shouldnt it?
