Gurb won't talk to me.....am I missing something?

<p>Hi all,</p><p> doing the bruiser epic, killed all the monk type mobs in FP and got Gorryn's fist, now I believe I need to talk to Gurb the master weaponsmith but he's been struck dumb! What am I doing wrong? I've examined the weapon, etc, etc....</p>

equip it, then attack something, examine the broken version you get after one punch.
