I have heard that the Burglars play a butchered version of this drinking song. I doubt they would play it in Kaladim, seeing as the rights belong to another songwriter. However, they could be persuaded to play what they know if they happen to be booked to a private gig.

So that sounds like a hidden quest to me in the Brew Day events.... for the Burglars are playing (most likely hired) in Brell's Bar. I couldn't get them to play the song sadly. Maybe we have to poke the people in the bar with some pointy sticks in order to get them to sing, or maybe spent them an ale? Lets try it out

Very well written, Missdoomcookie. I can't wait for the next installment.

Hopefully this whole story will pave a background to what we can expect to see if we ever return to guk: Trolls who have taken back thier ancient home.

It says these were written sometime around the Lost Age. If memory serves correct, the progression of Ages in Norrath is:

Age of Scale --> Elder Age --> Age of Monuments --> Age of Blood --> Lost Age --> Age of Enlightenment --> Age of Turmoil (EQ1) --> Age of War --> Age of Cataclysms --> Age of Destiny

Since Guk was taken by the Frogloks in EQ1, the Age of Turmoil, if these writings are from the Lost Age then I'd expect the Trolls to have control of Guk. These writings don't mean the Trolls have taken back their city, since at the point the writings were created they still wouldn't have lost their city yet. I do hope, though, that it's a precursor to us rediscovering some old stomping grounds... regardless of what has happened there since EQ1.
