Hi all.

I'm using a logitech MX1000 laser mouse , which has many programable buttons in conjunction with a Microsoft- Digital media pro keyboard.

Being an avid crafter and thus harvester I decided to program one of the buttons to the tab key to detect nodes when running along.

All was working fine but after a server crash it stopped working. I re-programmed the button, tried re-booting and then tried reinstalling the latest mouse software...nothing worked. As a last resort I did a system restore and that go it going again. Great thought I. About 3 days later I logged in and it had stopped working again.....this time, even with a system restore I couldn't get it to work. Then after just re-programming the button for the Xth time it started to work.

2 days later I log and it's stopped again...this time I can't get it to work , hence this post.

It's such a usefull function to have and although I can play without it , I find it so irritating that it no longer works.

My keyboard has a fuction lock and the mouse software sometimes indicates that the Numlock is on.

The most annoying thing is that the tab function seems to work all the time on the desktop icons.

I'm really at a loss, any pointers or things to try would really welcome

Thanks in advance
