30 Minutes is Massive?! What would you call a whole day? They came down for a quick patch it seems but should be back up and running now.

We didn't get any warning at all on Lucan d'Lere server..just pulled down. Guess advertising/spamming us with LoN adverts are more important then using the System Message channel for it's original intended use, informing us of the in game and server status.

Anyway, LoN spam bashing aside, I personally didn't get rolled back..I was turning in some collection rewards, I still had the exp I gained from them on my alt doing the turn ins, and a menu giving me an option of what item I wanted from the one I didn't get to select yet when the servers dropped. Having said that, it sounds like someone else who wasn't in town did get a rollback, they were somewhere completly different then they were when it came down, based on some chatter I saw on level chat.

So..maybe only some zones got rolled back..if that's even possible, I'd assume it's all or nothing..but again I didn't see a rollback personally.

I think he means he lost 30 minutes of playtime, as if whatever he was doing for the last 30 minutes on his character never happened. How I took his comment anyway.

And I agree with only the amount of time the servers were down, it was short. But again we had no warning on LDL server at all..yet I bet the new LoN game gets spammed at least a couple times on Friday and/or Saturday. Guess at least the wednesday night maintance pulldown had an ample warning, I'll give them that.

Yah I went afk when they went down so I didn't see if there was or was not spam but I didn't see any in the hour or so before they came down.

A lot of people on level chat when I came back about around 8AM to check on my character were saying they saw no warning either.

*shrug* Nothing to truly throw a fit about, I know, nor am I. But yeah, they missed the mark on warning us in game about this pulldown to be honest this time C'est la poop.

It might not have been intentional.. You know how fragile hamster labor is, at any time it can just go out.

These petshop brand ones just aren't cutting it, and the replacement cost has got to be getting annoying by now.Let's see.. a single server would take.. hmm... a theoretical 2 hamsters, with each hamster lasting 5 hours or so... so new hamsters every 5 hours. Let's say there are 25 servers (Since I can't remember) so that's 50 hamsters every 5 hours, or 240 hamsters a day. At 10.00 each that's $2400 a day, or $876,000 every year, for the last what now.. 5 years? SO..a total of about $4,380,000 over the span of EQ2, not to mention all the other games and whatnot. That's just plain silly!(Figures for petshop hamsters. Professionally trained is a completely different matter.)
