<p>Hi All,</p><p> I'm looking for your views on this:</p><p> It seems to me that the Shadowknight class has the worst avoidance out of all the tanks. Now a while back SOE changed our main stats from str/wis to str/int. With this in mind wouldnt it make perfect sense to change the stat on our defence stance to agi instead of wis. We do not require wis anymore and the boost in agi would help to close the avoidance gap on other tanks. Im sure this would be an easy change for SOE to make, and i cant see any reason why it shouldnt be done.</p><p> Please all post your thoughts on this....if there is enough interest i will start a pertition.</p><p> Many thanks,</p><p>Azhen Reaver of Rallos Zek.</p>

Berserk/Gaurds Three Main Stats are STR, STA, AGI ... This Covers 2 Tanking stats and 1 DPS stat... STR = DPS CA/Weapon DMGSTA = Health PointsAGI = AvoidenceShadowKnights three main stats areSTR, STA, INT ... This Covers 2 DPS Stats and 1 Tank Stat.... STR = CA/WeaponSTA = Health PointsINT = Spell DmgMy Gripe is... The Gain that we get with haveing 2 DPS stats. Does not come close to the gain the guards/berserkers get with thier two tanking specs ... We can all Agree STA/AGI does not Equal in relevance to STR/INT .... Its not that an SK is pumpoing out unbelievable dmg for this tanking hit... We have to up both in order to get anywhere close to a guard/berserkers dps and thats imbalanced.... we should be seeing gains in DPS not loses.. My Solution, Take a sk Stat. add another tanking percentage that it ups... Suggestion would STA, this will have us have one tanking stat, so we will actually mirror somewhat the berserker/guard gains ..Make STA = Health Points + (Defense or avoidence or shield block or another tanking piece here) This is the main idea that i believe would fix us on the tanking end... Other Ideas As well i have... we have tank bonesus out there.. +Parry, +defense, +Aggression, +shield BlockHow about itemize these to certain classes to make them more unique instead... Like +Parry, +Aggression To Guards/Zerkers+Shield Block, +Defense To Sks/pallies+Defense, +Parry To monk/brusiers Instead of all trying to follow each other...

As an SK you should get hit that is where a portion of our hate towards the mob comes from......

<p>A very small portion of hate is gained from the SK hate proc. Guards have the same type of ability but much more powerful they also have lots more avoidance. Losing avoidance as a TANK to gain agro is foolish. How can the tank classes be balanced that way?</p><p> Regards,</p><p>Az.</p>

<p>I dont think you have read the original post in detail mate. My original post talks about replacing the WIS on our defence stance with AGI. There is no STR/STA/INT to be lost here. WIS is the last stat an SK needs and AGI is the hardest stat for us to gain.</p><p>I see where your coming from on the lifetap vs mitigation front. But at end game spike dmg will always favour outright avoidance/mitigation. </p><p>This is off topic. Please can we get back to the topic as stated in my original post.</p><p>Regards,</p><p>Az.</p>

What we are supposed to have over guards and Berserkers.-Higher Mitigitaion-Higher Damage per Second -Lifetap/Self Heal ability-Utility/DebuffsNow lets break this down to whats Going on... -Higher MitigationThis has currently been strongly questioned.. 1. Our Mitigation is by far realy close to guards/zerkers Which nowadays shows that there is not much a difference or gain we get from it. The Mobs are hitting harder .. Completly Avoiding a hit or two is better then Lowering the Damage of the mobs hit at this point. I'm not sure if theres a cap on it, but if there is, we are clearly near it, and thats not good.-higher Damage Per Second.. I can say with us raceing two stats, theres no way we are going to keep up with this.. In tanking gear which does up my INT and STR as well, Im still doing far less then a guard/berserker in the same situation. Also look into guards/zerkers hit CA's youll notice they have more 1k + attacks then we do, Hell we still have some vastly Under 1k to try to compete with.-Lifetap/Self Heal AbilityThese are only as good as what the mobs hit us for .. Our primaries are... (At Max this is my DPS Gear lol) Siphon Vitae - 510-624 Heal amountSiphon Strike - 242-403 Heal AmountNow obviously These Two Cast together barely compensates for 2 Mob Hits.... Secondaries. Shadow Coil AA - 75x4 over timeTap Viens - 863 Heal Per MobShadow coil is a nice refreshener but its not going to compensate for 1 Mob hit. Tap Viens is the only thing right now i see on par with where it should be... 863 Per mob is a big deal... Our Single heals should be a bit higher then that on a single mob... We should be takeing the Heal hit with a spell that steals from other mobs, Not gain heal points lol its kinda reverse ... ;/ Stuff that is out there........Unholy Arms 207-343 Heal amountRelentless Hunger - 120-201 heal amount yes this is the master 1 why i didnt sell it is respect of how i got it. (Then again who would buy it lol <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ......Unholy arms, I believe is fair on where it is at and what its meant for, its a melee proc overall..Relentless hunger ...... Umm this like hits maybe onces per raid mob fight... and is meaning less when it does .. Id rather have anything in its place. -Utility/DebuffsIn the end there is only one spell that makes us, and thats Blessings. .But overall its still not a spell looked at by many.. realy just sks lol. Our utility is good where its at, but its nothing special by far.

<p>I started this forum thread to try and help the SK comunity. From looking at your last post it seems that you as an individual do not want to improve the SK class. If this is the case and if you cannot post anything constructive or positive please dont ruin this thread.</p><p>If you log into the worldwide SK chat next time you play your SK you will find that one of the most requested things from the comunity at the moment is more avoidance in any form whether its +parry +def or straight block chance. And for the record the 200wis from def stance gives me roughly 250 resist (on my lowest resists) which does not amount to much at all (1% max).</p><p>We will never have the same avoidance as warriors and thats totaly fair. Our avoidence is Nullified, 30agi to a guard/zerker is not the same as 30agi to SK/Pally... Plus, I dont see where you can properly Up 4 stats at one time, Three is hard But its can be done, and thats one part of our major troubles .. our Fourth Stat right now would AGI, but we cant up all four evenly and come out with high stats.

It's definitely better than the Wis we get. I rarely go into defensive form now a days, as it just isn't worth it. To me, it is better to keep in offensive and have better DPS. Anything to improve is a good idea (as long as it isn't OP... which this clearly isn't).

AGI over wisdom is a great idea for defensive stance. It's not enough though. There need to be some AA with avoidence boosts as well. A well geared SK can tank any heroic stuff fine now, but raid mobs hit way too hard for the lifetaps to make up for the lack of avoidence.

<p>The little bit of extra resists from any amount of Wis < than a decent chunk of Agi to boost avoidance.</p><p>I also like the idea of spreading out the +parry, aggression, etc. to diversify the tanking strengths of various fighters. It would be in line with the flavor of certain classes as well, Id particularly like a small + to block for a crusader using a kite/tower shield, etc. Beats the same ol same ol vanilla.</p><p>/Agree</p>
