Just wanna see what people are using in raids as I recently got promoted to MT defiler in our guild, was backup prior. As of late I respecced to the following:

Shaman Tree

Agi - 4/4/4/8 to max heal crits (I have seen a decent return on this as during raids I am buffed to 42% heal crits) This spec has shown me approx 8% more heals during raids and I still have more gear and adorments to get on my defiler (missed out on some good gear while i was backup so MT group could benefit). Need to compare more raids heal parses to get a more definitive number so this is just a preliminary number with raw number comparison.

Sta - 8/4/4/8 fast cures is ftw imho. I can keep my wards up, cure the MT and other healers in a couple secs. And as we all know cures can make or break a raid in RoK.

Wis - 4/8/4/8/2 Alacrity is great to cast on MT for more taunts, but i really use primarily on the Templar before he casts Sanctuary to keep it up as much as possible. I find this helps a lot and maxxed ritual for heals helps with heals or used with cannibalize with helps get me approx around 17% power, need to mess with this to c how much power it gets me for more accurate number. Also the reduction to recast timers in this line is nice when combined with some of the gear in RoK to reduce recast timers makes it easier to keep wards up more often, especially Group ward.

Defiler Tree

Soul Ward - is huge imho, got a macro for group and raid wide when I hit it so the group and raid healers now what hit me and to toss me a couple heals. Usuall within 5 secs or less I am back up to 75% to 80% and with one heal from me to 100%, usually am casting group heal right after soul ward to get that quick heal in and with overloaded heal gear is all the more effective.

Cannabilize - This is by far the best power regen in the game imo, combined with ritual all the better.

Curseweaving - only at 129 AA's, but the reduction in casting curses will be of benefit as the more debuffs on raid mobs the better (doubt anyone will argue this point lol). plus on mobs like leviathan makes it easier to get all debuffs on mob when our druid debuffs the reflect on him. reduction in resists and power is also nice. At least I think it will be once I have enuff AA's.

Please let me know what you think and if you have any other speccs and what your results are.

With how easy it is to get a mirror now theres no reason to not have 2 AA specs.

1.

agi 4-4-4-8

sta 6-4-4-8-2

wis 4-7-4-8-2

Similar to your spec, but I think that 1174 unconcious health is a little better than 2% better healing on ritual and ~10 more stamina, especially for mt.

2.

str 4-4-6-8-2

wis 4-7-4-8-2

sta 4-4-4-8

Wolf spec, but rather than go for the extra heal crit I wanted to keep the cure speed.

For the defiler tree I went for soulward, cannibalize, and curseweaving. I tried hexation for a bit but havent seen the need for it, its probably really useful against avatars but since we don't bother with them atm theres no point for me. I highly recomend maxing the bane of warding aa when you can.

139 AAs here, so i pretty much have everything i want.

I'd suggest you head over to eq2flames. They have a wealth of information concerning this class. They also speak the truth about it unmoderated. Just a friendly suggestion.

Both shamans tend to spec their KoS tree in the same 2 fashions for raiding. The idea of going 4-4-4-8 AGI for the heal crit became available after the 20AA increase to the tree. The alacrity is a must for T8 raids and the line as a whole has some small but still importaint benifets.

The only option that leaves is STR vs STA which is an ever going battle among shamans. The bloodpool effect and cure bonuses are nice but the rest of the STA is very lacking for Raiding. STR having the dog ward is nice and the added haste will help somewhat (More so if you are a Freeport only raid force as haste is harder to obtain with FP classes). AOE prevention is nothing you can count on and the dogs DoT is almost worthless for raiding. I use STA for curing as I am in an OT role and dont have to spam cast. Also VP will eat your dog to no end.

INT line is not a raiding line.
