Tank pet at level 10?

<p>Hello, I'm new to EQ2 and have decided to play a necro. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p><p>I've done some forum searches and everything I read leads me to believe I should have received my tank pet at lvl 10 (just dinged 11 last night).  That being said, whenever I cast my summon spell, I still get the bat pet from when I was lvl 1.  Is the tank pet a spell I need to buy or loot off of a mob?  Any help would be greatly appreciated. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

Necros get a spider at level 12.

If you're looking at the original Prima players guide (or whichever company made it), that covers only the original game, throw it out. It's pretty much 100% obsolete.Your tank pets come at level 1, 12, 24, 38, 52, 66, and 77.Your mage pets come at 20, 34, 48, 62, 75.Your scout pets come at 32, 46, 60, 72 (or 73? I forget).
