Question to those who may have more experience on that matter:Currently I use two 4.0 sec weapons. I also have a 4.5 sec that I would like to use, it would replace one of the 4.0 that I already use.>> Does dual wielding 4.0 sec + 4.5 sec make any sense ? Or will it completely break the timing and should be avoided ?

Depends on the length of fights that you engage in.. for Raids I would never use anything with a different delay but just grping and solo. 4.5 and 4.0 go fine together. The reason behind this is, with both weapons having the same delay they will never seperate from each other during there auto attack so your attack and time should look something like this..

Auto Attack 2:30:05

Auto Attack 2:30:05

Auto Attack 2:30:09

Auto Attack 2:30:09

Auto Attack 2:30:13

Auto Attack 2:30:13

There would be no difference in times on your Auto attack and no matter how long the fight they would stay together.. now 4.5 and 4.0

Auto Attack ( AA for short)

AA 2:30:05

AA 2:30:05

AA 2:30:09

AA 2:30:09

AA 2:30:13

AA 2:30:14

AA 2:30:17

AA 2:30:18

AA 2:30:21

AA 2:30:23

As you can see the longer the fight the more seperated the weapons become, with that being said if the fight were to last more than 40 secs or more you AA would be direct opposite of each other therefore you would constantly interupt one of your AA's thus killing your DPS

So in the end to make this longer lol... Same Delay for Raiding is a must IMO and Close delays for Groups and Solo are fine.. Just depends on what you like to do and plan on doing..

Thank you for your explanation, your input is welcome. Well, I have no problem with switching weapons depending on the situation. Since I only raid casually I will use the 4.5 as my standard choice and switch to 4.0 for raiding/long heroic fights. The 4.5 is a pvp fabled wpn, with 373 max damage, +3 dbl attack, and +2 melee crit. So the damage spread and extra Dbl Attacks make it better that Charm's Way (heroic version) IMO, despite less crits. Idially if I could find a 4.5 off hander, it would be great, but I don't know any

Don't forget too that you have a slight extra "penalty" for dual weilding. If you have two 4.0 weapons they both will not be 4.0. /weapon will give you the actual delay.

This extra delay affects both weapons the same way. So theoritically you want two weapons with the same delay for DW, so that they always "tick" at the same time. With %Dbl Attack, it can lead to 4 auto attacks at the same time, which is always welcome

I sit at a constant 40 Haste self buffed and the delays on bothe my weapons are 3.8.. Charm's + Throatripper

My mistake then. I thought the "penalty" only applied to one weapon. Thanks for the correct answers everyone.
