Shadows disappearing issue - Worked around?

I was romping around Gorowyn earlier and I'm pretty sure my shadows disappeared after a time, as usual (I'm sure we're all pretty familiar with this bug at this point). But then I zoned... and I was seeing shadows again! I'm almost 100% certain they had disappeared in Gorowyn. Have the developers finally figured out how to at least reset the system when you zone, so that the problem is at least temporary? Has anyone else noticed this change?

I have not heard of any changes, but it would be interesting to see if you notice this 'change' over the course of a few more days.  Keep this post updated if you guys are noticing anything.
