Here's something I was wondering; probably of no consequence...If I recall correctly, in some piece of the Everling puzzle we learn that before constructing their cheery Nektulos abode, the family lived in a cheery town called Freeport. It may not be at all significance, but I can't help but wonder where. Now, chances are that the manor isn't standing. Freeport has gone through countless changes over the year, like any other great city. Still I find myself curious.Anyone seen the Everling symbol scrawled along the side of some building?Maybe somewhere in Shoreside, before the orcs tore it up. It was supposed to be the wealthy neighborhood...But hey, what self respecting Everling would pass up somewhere closer to the graveyard, with all that raw material...Anyhow, just wondering.

The graveyard was in another location at that time, it was when Lucan was a paladin and such. Rikantus had his first family in the family masoleum, but was aware that the graveyard wasn't going to hang around for too long.

It's hard to tell if there's any evidence of Everling having lived in Freeport (other than the background history that stated he did) since we don't know what to be looking for or where. What do you mean by "Symbol"? Its not like he had a family crest or anything.

<span class="postbody">"What do you mean by "Symbol"? Its not like he had a family crest or anything."Ah, right you are. I was thinking about the symbol in his bedroom, but I now find out it was one of the runes. The Rune of Vul? Symbol of Ethernere or something?Should have remembered that, my bad.</span>

<span style="color: #00cc00;">Not sure about the Rune of Vul, but the Shard of Vul is in my third backpack it makes a lovely necklace. At least I think it's the Shard of Vul... I'll have to log in, but it has a 1 minute invis clicky and doesn't kill you like a certain other well known necklace.</span>

<p>The Everling family used to run a Freeport curios shop within the latter half of the Age of Enlightenment. The shop had humble beginnings, but that changed when it became well known for rare trinkets that the Everling's used to scour the globe to import. Most of the merchandise was unique. Aristocrats, affluent trotters and eccentric sages often paid a high price for some of the items sold at the House of Everling. This made the Everlings a very rich family.</p><p>Although the shop produced an affluent clientele, it was located in the poorer section of Freeport due to its humble beginnings. It is said that it was also the perfect place to move contraband to and from the shop. That section of the city was later razed by the Freeport Office of Landholders by order of Sir Lucan D'Lere. They hired a dwarf crew to do the dirty work, Demolition Guild 426. I doubt you could find any remnants from that curios shop. However, an odd thing has been reported in the back alley taverns and black markets of Norrath, some say they have recently visited the House of Everling. Of course, those people that made such claims must be rathed. That entire section of Freeport was razed approximately three centuries ago and there is no record of a new Everling shop within Freeport. This would seem the case since a few of those few recent patrons have attempted to prove the existence of the shop only to find it was not where they thought it was. Tales of bottomless tankard they must be!</p>
