Ok I might have just been really unlucky here...

I log in this evening, download the latest LoN updates that get foisted upon us, play for a couple of hours and finally end up in a group. I've been worrying about grouping since the unbearable lag that came with the last GU has made combat a dangerous affair indeed.

We delve our way into Fallen Gate and start beating on the named snake in there. Suddenly everything freezes for a good 2 mins. Eventually I manage to convince my machine to end the EQ2 task.

Now I'm having to wait on another 20 minute LoN card download that wasn't there earlier. Now my group will be long gone, I'll look like a bailing lame-o, and that's my evening's gaming kinda ruined.

What gives with all these downloads??

LoN patches take less than 30 seconds.I think you're exaggerating just a bit.

Mines been on for about 10 min and it still says 30 min to go. LoN really should be an optional content checkbox anyway. I dont know a single person who has ever played it , let alone who regularly plays it.

And exactly the same thing as OP happened to me yesterday and today.

I don't play LoN.

I don't want to play LoN.

I don't want LoN.

I don't want to spend time waiting to download LoN and I don't want LoN to be downloaded on my hard drive, much less receive unsolicited advertising about it in-game.

LoN should be an optional download.
