Well, I know this is more than a tad late being posted, but RL has kept me unavoidably occupied. This is a full list of the bugs from the previous updates and their current status. This is a compilation of all EQ2Players bugs that the community has found with the site, so feel free to respond to this thread and add more as you find them. I will try to keep this post as up to date as I can. However, I will ONLY add bugs (or other issues) that can be reproduced. So if you have an addition, please provide all possible detail in your post or pm. The following bugs have been fixed and are being removed from the list. While I have tested them myself, if anyone can prove that they are still an issue, feel free to respond to this post or send me a pm and I will investigate further.
<strike>Some of the level history (artisan history is the only one I have examples for) levels are being entirely skipped. People are going from 76 to 78 without hitting 77, and even one from 76 to 80. This should have nothing to do with speed of leveling, as all my levels are displayed and I leveled rather quickly. There are two useful examples here (for skipping from 76 to 80) and here (for skipping level 77).</strike> Fixed.

<strike>Automatically generated signatures are too tall for the official forums and are being cutoff at the bottom.</strike>

<strike>Sorting by tradeskill level using the guild roster is bugged in that single digit levels are getting ranked above double digit levels that start with a lower numeral than the single digit. For example, level 2 tradeskillers get ranked higher than all tradeskillers from 10-19 and level 9 crafters are ranked above even level 80 crafters. This bug is not affecting adventure level sorting, just crafters.</strike> Completely fixed.

<strike>+spell damage/spell crit/power&health regen items from the expansion are not showing these stats on EQ2Players. I used items I know have +spell damage/spell crit such as the Painsmith's Empowered Ring to check it. This was also checked for items using the other effects. It isn't showing up on the mouseover on character profiles nor on the item entry when examined further. I'm guessing +CA damage/melee crit/Double attack is similarly missing on RoK item descriptions on EQ2Players. Pre-RoK items such as the Runed Relic Circlet are showing properly. This most likely has something to do with the way these stats are now displayed in the normal stats instead of separately at the bottom of the item description.</strike> Fixed.

<strike>Factions from the RoK expansion do not appear on the Factions tab in the character profile.</strike> Fixed.
This is a list based off the bugs that I have found and confirmed as of today as well as the ones posted or found by others that I was able to confirm. I did not add bugs I could not reproduce myself.

Guilds with most status leaderboard is still incorrect. Seeing a guild with less than 24M status displayed above one with 39M and one with 51M. Most Status leaderboard for guilds is definitely not displaying properly according to the status reported on the guilds' individual profiles. Now that multiple guilds are capped at 80, I had the opportunity to compare them. The two guilds that I can best use for comparison are Harms Way and Transcendence. Both are Blackburrow guilds at level 80. However, Transcendence is ranked higher than Harm's Way. According to the numbers, Harm's Way has more status than Transcendence. Also, Harm's Way reached 80 before Transcendence did. The only options I can think of to explain this is that the numbers being reported on EQ2Players are either bugged (possible), or the rankings are being determined by another number than that displayed as the guild's current status (more likely). The leaderboards ARE still sorting by level first (I actually think this is more appropriate anyway, so that isn't a complaint). From here on is conjecture, but there is one possible explanation for the discrepancies in the leaderboard. The status number on the guild's profile page is the sum of the status across all characters in the guild. However, the status from characters who are no longer in the guild is not included in this total. The status lost by characters who leave is no longer removed from the guild total in game, as it once was. This leads to the possibility that the number being used for ranking on the leaderboards is actually the guild status that was contributed by all characters that were ever in the guild. Thus, if a guild "A" had 1K more status than another guild "B" and a character left guild "A" who had 200K status contributed, the rankings would still show guild A above B, even though the status numbers on the guild profile would now disagree with the leaderboard rankings. Just a thought. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />" /> In all honesty, if this is true, then I'm fine with it as long as the numbers on the guild profile page and the leaderboards agree. One of the two should be changed to match, though. While a long item on the list, I felt an accurate update was needed. The numbers have also been updated as of this post.

Graphical view on EoF Achievements is missing. While this was less important for KoS achievements, EoF achievements are not a straight linear progression. Hence, a graphical view is needed.

<strike>The sorting feature for the leaderboards cannot sort for levels 70+.</strike> The 60-70 option is actually only sorting for 60-69 (as it should, to bring it in line with previous tiers). <strike>There is no option for 70-80.</strike> The 60-69 option is still labeled as 60-70 when sorting for the leaderboards.

A number of fields that were available on the feeds have been lost. These were widely used by guild communities on their home websites via community driven projects such as Roster Master. An effort to work with that community to restore missing fields in some way would be appreciated by all. There has been no official word on this.

"Total Item Discoveries" on the guild roster sort returns the sum of world discoveries and server discoveries instead of just world discoveries. The "Total Item Discoveries on server" is a great option. Just need to get the world discovery sort fixed.

There is currently no longer an option to search for tradeskill classes. This was previously possible as all tradeskill classes were listed in the class option on the search window. However, those options have been removed and there is no replacement.

The item discovery page does not properly sort discoveries into armor, weapons, shields, or other as it implies is supposed to happen by having those categories. All discoveries fall under "other". This does not apply to all items as crafted items seem to be properly sorted. Quested and dropped items are not properly sorted. Here is an example for crafted items being sorted properly. Here is an example for quested and dropped items not being sorted properly.

Level History on the profile page is bugged. The level rankings are completely wrong in some cases. I have confirmed using my own guild's event list that the dates are being reported correctly for people having this issue. This post by Lighthammer shows the problem in that the dates do not match the rankings, and I can provide more examples if needed. This is still an issue. Although fixing the level skipping for reporting levels to the server may have addressed this, there is no certainty of it and the problems have not been yet been linked to one another.

Sort functions for the guild roster only work within the customize display page or when you first return to the normal display from changing the sort options. If you leave the guild roster and then return to it, the sorting returns to alphabetical until you again go to the "customize display" option.

The faction page has an error when reporting the Pirates of Gunthak as a character's greatest enemies. You see this "Hellswrath's greatest enemies are $factionLabel.get($MinFac)". I do not know if there are other factions that are bugged like this. (Nor do I know who the Pirates of Gunthak are. You would think I would seeing as though they are my greatest enemies, lol.)

Automatic updating on the leaderboards is broken. These leaderboards have not updated every 24 hours since the update to the website. This should be considered one of the higher priority items on the list, since if the website isn't even updating to show the information that DOES work, then it is completely broken. I will consider this broken until it is observed working for a protracted period of time, as it has been "fixed" too often for me to believe anything but empirical evidence.

Veteran Rewards are out of date. 48 month rewards are not yet posted and we are approaching the five year rewards. Community Manager Amnerys addresses this issue in THIS thread, stating that it will be looked into after Fan Faire.

Guild Chat broken. Returns a "can't connect to server" fatal error for Firefox users.

Unable to access any settings for the guild website on EQ2Players. This also includes the abilty to set a custom domain. This has been confirmed on two guild leader characters of different guilds.

I'm also adding a request to make the new guild roster useful:

Please change the default sorting on the guild roster to descending order. The default sorting on the guild roster currently sorts in ascending order. So in order to view the people at the top of the rankings in your guild, you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page or try to resort the roster. The only thing this does not apply to is rank within the guild, as the number designations for these ranks are most likely lower at the top ranks, thus sorting properly the first time.

The purpose of this feature to a guild is to inspire a sense of competition and recognition of achievement within the guild. We shouldn't have to go hunting the leaders on the rankings, they should be displayed front and center. The previously lost guild "Wall of Fame" accomplished exactly that. While the new guild sorting tool has far greater potential than the old guild wall of fame, it is currently not applying that potential where it is most useful in a guild community by placing the leaders out on display for the whole guild to see. I would personally love to see this great tool used more effectively. No official word yet on whether this is a possibility in the future or not. Either this needs to be addressed, or we need all the missing feed data restored to guild rosters, including rankings within the guild on the various sort options. Currently, we have neither.Final note, I went through all posts on this thread and tested all the bugs I could to create this list (including retesting my own). If I missed one by accident, please let me know.

Is it just me or do adournments not show in item descriptions (pop up window when you mouse over items). Also, minor issue, but two handed weapons only show in the primary slot (secondary slot remains empty).

No, adornments do not show up, because the items on your character draw from the item database on EQ2Players. This only houses the info on the base item.

As fixes/improvements to EQ2Players seem to be infrequent at best, I will be posting between biweekly and monthly to make it clear whether there has actually been any progress or whether I am making sure the bug thread stays updated. Updates for now:While there seem to be occasions where I have noticed the leaderboards being a couple days behind on updating, they seem to currently be updating every 24 hours as they should. I will cross this off on the bug list until I see it as a problem again (or someone points it out to me ).No other issues have been addressed at this time.

The updating properly was short lived.Leaderboards are well over two days old now and the character profiles are at least several days behind in updating.Revising my bug list and adding that I will consider this broken until I see a protracted period of it working properly.

I logged into SOE EQII Players today and we can no longer view a guilds roster. I double checked the problem by having one of my officers check and see if he could view a roster from serveral guilds and he was having the same issue. What's up?

Similar issue here. Complete loss of the guild roster. This needs to be addressed immediately. If it was taken down for updating, we should have been informed.

Guild rosters seem to be back up. Characters do not appear to be updating again, however.

Do we have any further updates as to when EQ2Players will be fixed to our satisfaction?

I do remember a time when a lvl 1 character could request an invite to a guild, and you could find them on EQ2Players.. not wait 2-3 weeks an hope they are updated and show up on the website.

And when will we get the XML files updated with all the old fields we used to have? One i definately know is gone is the date the member joined the guild. And we need this information up-to-date too, not months out of date as some of the information in it seems to be.

I know these issues have been raised time and time again since RoK destroyed the reliability of the website, but I too hope that one day they will be addressed.

Updated to include the serious issues with guild chat that are currently affecting those using Firefox.Updated to include Amnerys response to the Veterans' Rewards inconsistencies. Thank you for responding! No further news on any possible updates to fix the plethora of outstanding issues/lost functionality plaguing EQ2Players, or who is in charge of the fixes. Hopefully we will know more shortly.

Another week and no information from SOE's end on plans for the future or who is reading any of the work we have put in to try and address these issues with the service we pay you for.Edit: Oh, and added another bug that restricts permission to access guild website settings, even if you are logged in and sign in as the guild leader. Tried this with both my guild and our alt guild.

Another week and no real news other than the Zam business.lol, I just saw the thread Trevor posted as an announcement. 19 days ago the word was there was an update going in for EQ2Players.Thanks for posting some info Trevor. However, we haven't seen a real update to the site in over six months. So I won't hold my breath.Could you do us a real favor and pass along to whoever still works on this site and ask them to spend a few mintues a day in communicating to the people paying for their service? I think the general tone of everyone in this forum can speak volumes about how well the current silence policy has been working for them.I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

It's that time again. My weekly update on the lack of updates.Guild chat is still broken. People are still having update problems. There still hasn't been a significant update to the site in over seven months. We still don't know if Zam will be taking over. We are still paying money for a service with no communication to the consumer base. This really needs to be fixed. . . soon. Not soon™, soon.

Woah. Wait a second. Why did this thread get unstickied? These are the most up-to-date release notes. If anything, the other thread should be unstickied and this one left with the sticky. Please fix.

I figured I'd mix it up a bit and wait TWO weeks to post the news. Unfortunately, my crafty ploy failed and did not produce any new news to post.We still know nothing about whether SOE is even reading these threads anymore. We are still paying for a service that has broken features. We still don't know if Zam is taking over this increasingly infuriating debacle of a service. Oh, and to top it off, the release notes thread here is no longer stickied for people and my attempts to restore it to being stickied only resulted in the other (older) release notes thread being unstickied as well. Goodness knows we don't want to advertise the fact that we haven't had an update to the site in over seven months. If we don't get some sort of major insight soon (NOT soon™, soon), I'm handing all this bug tracking back to the people who should have been doing it properly from the start: SOE. When community support recieves no company support and it only hinders the community's efforts (ie. unstickying the only up to date thread on EQ2Players issues and bugs despite requests to resticky, continually removing feeds that are used to make such awesome additions as Rostermaster, etc.), then it tends to lose the support of that community.Personally, I am appaled at the way our community has been handled since Gninja left and before he came to work with us for a short while. Especially when we are supporting a service we have to pay for. My tolerance for such treatment is approaching its end.I may stop by to check on progress every now and then, but my continued patronage of this service and my substantial efforts to help make it what it could be will end. I will prematurely wish the best of luck to all who remain to deal with this mess, as I doubt a little SOE angel will appear to clear up all the confusion before I've had enough. You may see me again far down the road if SOE ever manages to achieve what they should have been doing all along with this paid service. To Grue, SG, Lantis, and all the others that have continued to work towards improving things around here, best wishes and good luck!

Sorry to hear you're throwing in the towel Hellswrath. I can't blame you one bit. You showed a lot more determination, enthusiasm, and optimism than pretty much anyone else, and put a great deal of effort into your service to the EQ2 community here. It was greatly appreciated.

It really is a shame that instead of cooperatively harnessing the talent, enthusiasm, and generosity of the player community SoE instead chose to squander that irreplaceable resource by demonstrating a complete and utter contempt for the customer.

Hats off for your efforts Hellswrath.

I'm sad to say that based on past experience, most of us will probably be following you out shortly with this next expansion...
