<p>Hi, I'm Gwanath, Wizard from the Butcherblock server, and I'd like to tell you a horror story.</p><p> Last night I gathered a group of my guildies and friends to get my final epic update from Necromancer Kortiz in Sebilis. I started out with one group, but ended up heading downstairs with two in a raid. There was some confusion and mucking about as people didn't consider this to be a "raid" but just a group doing something for their friendly neighborhood wizard. We cleared without too many problems, other than the fact it the mobs seemed to one shot anyone who got agro other than the tank, and we came to within 3 rooms of the Necromancer.</p><p> At this point, everyone's screen in the raid froze, and presumably everyone in the zone of Sebilis. Some of the people in the raid found they could still move and went exploring around sebilis while the zone was frozen. After about 2 minutes, the zone unfroze and every mob that someone had passed while exploring came and wiped the raid. We were understandably upset about this, but we revived and rebuffed and decided to give it another go. There were no problems until we got to the final hall before Kortiz. Mobs would seemingly add for no reason, rez's would give people agro, and the tank (a paladin with amends) didn't have agro to keep the mobs off the healers (who had yet to heal). We nearly wiped at least 3 times and were only saved by quick thinking on the part of the in-combat rezzers and the members of the raid who could FD. They brought us back from the brink several times.</p><p> Here's where the horror really begins. We finally get to the corner safespot in the room with Kortiz and his golem and iksar guards. We start pulling the room and the trash mobs go down one at a time. Our tank calls incoming on the named, and we all are on the edge of our seat, as we've been at this for 2 and half hours already. Kortiz never paths to the corner where buzz wants to tank him, but instead contents himself with casting spells and the raid unleashes on him. After no more than 30 seconds he dies and falls to the ground. Huzzah! Final mob down! I run over to loot and click the body on the floor. The box pops up and I see the final ring needed for the Wizard fabled epic quest, I click "Loot All" and nothing happens. Everyone else in the raid reports that their screen has frozen. No problem, this happened earlier, we'll just wait it out and everything will be ok. </p><p>Two minutes go by. Still Locked.</p><p>Five minutes go by, other members of our guild report that all of sebilis is frozen, not just us. </p><p>10 minutes go by, everyone in the raid is finally dumped to character select and re-enters the game. </p><p>When we got back in, all the trash mobs were up, the named was not up, the body was gone, and my epic did not update. Petitions have been sent and we'll see how SoE responds to them. </p><p>The moral of the story? Be careful in Sebilis when doing epics, it's buggy as all get out.</p>
