If I had known how gimped the coercer has become since RoK, I never would have betrayed to this class. As an illusionist at least I had a pet that didnt turn on me every 3 minutes, my dps was worth counting and my utility seemed feasible.

Since betraying I cannot charm anything in RoK that lasts over 5 minutes in duration, clerics do more dps than I do and other than being able to cast a dps increaser and keep others mana up, I seem to have no uses whatsoever.

About the charm break issue. It doesnt have to be that way - try upping your Subjugation for example, I dont know why you experience that kind of problems. My pets mostly stay charmed until the timer runs out nowadays - yesterday I had one pet break incident, and it has not happened in such long time that I was actually a little surprised.

Agree with 2nd poster. Once I put 5 points in Enhanceomination. I rarely get early breaks. Spell grade has a lot to do with it. If your poor, I suggest making sure at the very least you keep your charm at AD3 and your root at AD3. At the very least!

Already done on both accounts, all my spells are ad3 or master1, my subjugation is 369/369, but doesnt seem to make a difference with the RoK mobs, I have charmed 20-30 and none of them have lasted longer than 5 minutes. I charmed the Lt at Sathirs Span yesterday and by the time I got halfway back to Kylong zone, he had already broken charm.

Lol 369/369 is really bad, try 510/510, easy to get with quest gear, legendary, and Wis AA line. you wont have a problem then with early breaks.
Yeah I usually run around at about 450 subj at minimum when I'm charming.

440-450 subj is a good solid number, and will result in far fewer charm breaks/resists.

It is fairly easy to get to that point with RoK quest drops, and drops from the PR raid zone. If it has subj (or possible ordination, though there's only a few items) it's worth keeping, even if just for resist/specialty gear.

It definitely does come in handy.
