Patch has made the game unplayable.

 I just renewed my account for the first time in 2 years. Everything was great. No problems. Today I download the patch and evertime i group with my friend i get booted about 3 minutes into the group. Says its trying to recconect to Login Server 1 then 2 then 3 etc etc. He has the problem where he goes out of sync on login now and gets booted to desktop. None of these were occuring yesterday. Also me and my wife can play together fine it seems only when we group with him does this happen. Anybody have any ideas? This is really frustrating and any help would be really apreciated.

This is really frustrating and any help would be really apreciated.</blockquote>9 times out of 10, the log in 1, 2, 3, etc is a direct result of your virus or firewall blocking you from connecting.  Disable those, or config it so that it recognizes and allows EQ to bypass, and you should be fine.

Ok after dinking around with my firewall and following most of the boards instrunctions I am problem free now. However my friend is still stuck in the same boat. He stalls out on loading screens when he hits the UI file. Also when he does get into the game he drops sync imediately and quickly booted form the game with 2-3 minutes. What I mean by dropping sync is, hes connected, doing stuff on his side but unable to interact with the world. However, all I see him as doing is sitting there. Please, if anybody has any ideas or advice as to what could be doing this that would be greatly appreciated because hes quite frustrated atm being unable to play with us. Is he on his own connection or is he on your connection?That sounds like a form of a router issue to me, have him try connecting with out the router if possible.
