After today's patch, mouse look seems all .. smooth and weird. It reminds me of Vanguard /cringe.Is it just me or did something change?

I didn't notice anything but I was only in game for about 10 minutes.. I'll post if it feels different when I play tonight.

I noticed this slight 'drag' or 'ease in/out' on mouse look too. I'm fairly sure it's the 'Dynamic Field of View' setting (Options> Performance> Camera, is where it is, from memory). At least for me, when I uncheck this Dynamic FoV, mouse look seems to return to its previous, more 'snappy' state. As far as I can tell, this isn't a performance issue as such, in that Dynamic FoV isn't technically slowing anything down; rather, by stretching the rendered image horizontally at the edges of the screen, the setting tries to simulate natural human field of view and peripheral vision, slightly altering perspective. This in turn gives mouse look a sense of easing in/out, as the peripheral areas of your screen deform.Or, it could be something else entirely... =)

I didn't notice anything... maybe I'm just not paying enough attention, heh.

The very first thing I noticed after the patch was a very evident slowdown in the mouselook. I noticed it when in first person mostly. Third person was hard to see, but first person was obviously changed.

I just read the suggestion about changing the settings, though I can't try them yet because my guild managed to crash nagafen server for the 3rd night in a row.

It is EXTREMELY noticeable...I mean it is a HUGE, MASSIVE, TOTALLY different feel..I for one enjoy my new Mouselook God...I am pleased to offer him...Well...whatever he wants...heheYou must have some options turned off somewhere...There is a new "camera" option under performance, and under mouse is a mouselook feature that needs to be checked...Hmmm

I don't play much, but I'll play here at lunch, and an hour or so when I go home, I still haven't noticed a change.. I'm not trying to say you're not either, but I just don't see it.

Yeah, there's definitely some kind of small (but noticeable) delay between moving the mouse, and the camera moving. It wasn't there before the last game update.None of the options help much, except for turning off the smooth mouse option which just makes the camera move horribly.

I also noticed the mouse "inertia" after GU43. Disabling the Smooth mouse option brought everything back to normal.

These types of things used to have something to do with render ahead options and vsync in other older games, perhaps worth messing around with ... esp since its a HUGE, MASSIVE, TOTALLY problem

Ah ok edge, looking back through I think I know what you mean now, you were just commenting on the new FoV camera? Not on the mouselag thing that the OP was complaining about? If thats the case .. really? The FoV thing looks pretty much like moving out one click on the mouse wheel to me . only noticeable if i sit there and click it on and off. What else does it give you .. perhaps its better in 1st person mode?At any rate sorry for quoting you irresponsibly lol it just seemed to me there was a bunch of ppl commenting on how bad the mouse lag was, then dan says he didnt notice anything and you said it was massively noticeable so I assumed you meant the mouselag. At any rate I seem to be starting all these arguments on the forum today .. must be something in the water haha.

I know some people see it as an issue. I rather enjoyed the "lag" but...it does not feel like lag, it feels more...smooth to me...So, yes, it is regarding the mouselook...but I have noticed that the mouselook feature is affected by the new FoV. If the FoV is off, the mouse lags less...(if lag is the word...I call it smoothing...hehe)...That make sense? All I know is it also was quite noticeable as well...so, it strikes me as odd that someone else does not see it...unless some other option is set in the users mouse controls in windows, etc,,,Hard to sayAnyways...thanks
