The broken hourglass in the Shard of Fear.

<p>I finally was able to do a Shard of Fear group last night. I am a huge Everquest lore freak since my days in EQ1. I noticed something kinda out of place in Fear. There is a giant broken hourglass in the zone. Now being from EQ1 these made me think that maybe this could have something or hint of something from the events that happened inside the Plane of Time.</p><p> <img src="http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/reb1981/fear6.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="768" border="0" /></p>

A few years ago in eq1  I had my ranger track toon camped in Fear, I logged in to a cleared zone and i was able to check the whole zone, they had Hourglasses you could stop and a emote would happen, though nothing ever happened. Those hourglasses bug me to this day.

<p>The hourglasses were in EQ1 PoF already but weren't broken iirc they symbolized the fears of time passing by  (fear of getting old, fear of death approching and the like) </p>

Indeed. the hourglasses have been in Plane of Fear since the zone first went live in 1999. It's just broken now thanks to the rending affecting the planes.

Strange I don't remember. Then again I spent most of my time in Hate as far as old planes.
