This is starting to [Removed for Content] me off.  When Im soloing, rooted mobs seem to warp on me alot.  These are animal mobs that should have no special abilities.  Other times Ill have a mob rooted then he somehow gets a free hit on me from like 20 meters.  Its like the game engine gets confused about how much distance I have on him.  I havent been playing eq2 very long, is this a new problem?  Is it happening to everyone?  I ignored it up to now, but at L38 the problem is starting to get serious since the mobs are hitting so hard.  Otherwise, Im very impressed with how smooth the game is constructed, but this is just not good.  <This is not a latency problem>

bringing up my coercer I have found that 99% of mobs are of a playable class-type.   And as such they have the same abilities pc's have.   Guard mobs have taunts and stone sphere, wizards have ice comet...etc..etc...What is probably happening is the mobs that are "warping" to hit you are actually brawler-type mobs.    As brawlers have that ability.

what bugs me the most is mobs casting point blank are effect (PBAE) spells and hitting me from a distance with them.

This happens to my coercer all the time, drives me insane. My mob will break, i'll root and run back 20 feet or more, begin to cast charm, die. (I was hit, not cast upon) I had reached my destination. I had even been casting for a good 2 seconds. I have amazing latency, SOE someday just need a look at mellee range imo.

I have a 80 wizzy who i have played for over 2 years, there are only a few mobs that do this.  learn to use your stun afetr they port to you and then back up as they are still rooted.  Oh and SKs also get a port attack from AAs i do believe, but either way after they port/stun you back up again and continue killing them, works great.

Ok, but why should I use stun?  Seems to me just backing away is quicker and less painful, since it is still rooted.  If I wait for stun to land he gets in 2 hits instead of 1.
