Im trying to get EQ2 running on my G/f's 2ish year old laptop so she and i can both play, however the amount of choppyness makes the game completely unplayable even at extreme performance. It does have an onboard 128 graphics card so i know it wont get any higher than high performance, but as long as its playable we dont mind. Would adding another gig of ram help or is there something else i could do, or are we SoL and need to get a new laptop for it to run??Celeron M 1.5ghz processor1gig ram.Windows xp HomeDirectX 9.Any help would be useful here.

Unless its a high end laptop, the game won't perform well on one. The specs you stated show this laptop to barely meet the requirements to run the game. More memory will help, but won't be a complete fix. Your best bet would be to run the game on the lowest graphics settings, it won't be as pretty, but at least it will minimize (but not eliminate) the choppiness.

We know it will not perform exceedingly well, we are just looking for it to be actually playable.

might as well buy a cheap desktop and have done withfeatures wont be important other than a decent clock speed and 2 gig memory
