Wizard Epic Update - Chardok

I am on the Fire and Ice part where you need to find the codex updates in deep chardok. I have been to all the forums and all the sites, but after 3 days in deep chardok past the red gate, I have not had one update. Not one. What am I doing wrong? or is SOE just being lame with the wizard updates?

Take your group into the Palace and start killing the Gorowinian Sarnaks (basically any Sarnak in the PALACE). The updates are not going to drop one after the other once you start. I didn't get my first drop for nearly an hour of killing, then after the frist drop, I was done in under 10 minutes. Pretty much the same story with the other wizards in my guild. Took a long time for that first drop, and them bam, they just keep coming.

Also, make sure that you know they are *body* drops, so click on every corpse.Only "a Gorowynn...." mobs will drop them.I've been twice now for my updates, both times helping other get their clicky updates there. I got my first update from one of the first mobs we killed. Then over the next 20 minutes I got 2 of the final 3. The second run produced 0 body drops, besides a couple of repeats of ones I already had.And now, of course, no one wants to go back in there, so I am stuck needing one more, while the people who only had to get "clickies" are now camping Sebilis, and I am sure by the time I am ready for Sebilis, they'll have gotten their updates, and be sick and tired of that zone.--Tusk

If you are lucky, and have friends who play at same hours than you, you can get all pages in less than 2 hours.I needed 15 because I was obliged to connect at bad hours for my guildies.. then PU groups ...

<p>Yepers, it seems they wanted to toture the wizards on there epic, look at the zones you have to hit for just the crapy fabled that isnt better than most high end raid gear fabled. </p><p> Soloing in chesly today i have soloed about (12) 82-83 heroics and the darn book has yet to drop while everyone else just went and clicked to start thier epic quest...</p><p>I now mandate that devs that are so unfavorable to a single class be put in the dunk booth at every fan fair, I will pay 10 dollars per ball to dunk one of you jerks. Trust me alot players would love a dunking booth at the fan fair with devs as the victims =)</p><p>I will one day have a fabled epic that is worse than what most raid guilds get..how amazing =)</p>

Best place to farm these i found was the library area up the stairs, go between the two book rooms *same room you collect the items to activate the golem* those two rooms of mobs droped mine in like 1 hour.

Yes, best place it to go back between the two rooms with the books upstair and to the two wandering groups leading to this area as you come into the Palace. As for the Fable versions, I rarely use it perfering the DPS for the Plasma Crystal wand.... I only use it in cases where the extra HP's and Mana are needed....in other words almost never! The fabled should have had at least the same DPS boost as the PCW plus better stats. A level 70 legendary items should be better DPS than our Fabled Epic! <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I spent 2 evenings in Chardok without any updates, then i got all of them within 30mins during the 3rd evening. The zone is pretty easy, just need some luck to get them all fast. :)
