Okay, well, I have a 42 lock with 43 or 44 AA, Manashield, 10 points in Magi shielding, 2 more till focused casting. Anyhow, gear is mostly 32 MC, with a few 42 MC thrown in as I can afford, spells ad1 or ad3.

Any tips for fighting mystics? This is the second mystic that I've tried, ( both were green ), first time scourge kicked my [I cannot control my vocabulary], so this time I tried to click off as many buffs as I could before hand, but somehow scourge still got me for around 900-1200 forget exactly, but the problem was, is even with my ad3 spells, I couldnt land any on the guy. Being green , he resisted 80% of the spells I threw at him, I couldnt even dent him.

What's the key here? I tried to dispel magic, that does jack [I cannot control my vocabulary], as usual. Debuffed him with everything I had, nothin works. If a few people hadnt' jumped in, he would have kicked the [I cannot control my vocabulary] out of me easily. ( And if you're reading, sorry, I tried 1vs1 )

Anything that I could have done diff? Or is it just one of those classes that locks have a hard time with?

I am not a PvPer so I really cant offer too much in the way of help but regarding the spell Scurge.. if I recall correctly this debuff comes with the dmg attached to it.Meaning, when the shaman casts this spell on you, you get the dmg that comes with it along with the effect of stripping some beneficial spells. The dmg, if I recall right, is not tied to how many buffs it strips.. its just part of the spell. (AA line spell)My suggestion for the resists would be to make sure you are debuffing him with your poison and disease debuff before you start in on your nukes. Most of your spells are poison and disease (with few exceptions)Though from the looks of it sounds like you already tried that. What is your gear like? What are your resists like? Shaman also cast poison and disease stuff (defilers do am not sure about mystics) so you would probably want to look for resists of that nature to deal with this issue.Another thing might be your spell casting order. You could try different orders to see how you can better maximize your dmg output.. so you can get him down faster.Sorry I cant be of more assistance, am not on a pvp server.

"Or is it just one of those classes that locks have a hard time with?"Probably. In addition to a concentration-slot poison/disease resistance buff, they've got a 36-second temporary poison/disease resistance buff, that comes with an attached poison/disease-only ward. Add in their normal ward spells, and it can be very tough for a warlock to chip through a Mystic's defenses unless you get the jump on them."The dmg [of Scourge], if I recall right, is not tied to how many buffs it strips.."Nope, it's a dispel with X disease damage inflicted per dispelled effect. (According to wikia.)But it won't dispel everything you've got, especially if the mystic is green-con to you... if it's taking out 2 buffs and nuking you twice, you'll only be able to reduce the damage if you have fewer than 2 buffs running when it lands. Cutting your buff selection from 7 to 4 won't do anything to help.

Finish up your hastings line and get focused casting, with that you won't have that much of a problem burning down a healer, especially a green con one.

Even with Focused Casting, Mystics are just nasty one v. one. Especially if they are melee specced, as a melee specced mystic they crit 100 percent of the time. Although it is a healer doing melee damage, you are still a clothie and the crits add up quick. Scourge is just flat out nasty in pvp. Other healers I can burn through their healing with FC, mystics I have yet to beat one v. one.

I like to think it is just one of the classes that we have a hard time with. If someone tells you they beat mystics regulary one v. one, then either they are not melee specced mystics or they are just plain lucky. Option 3 would be I just suck.. I don't like that option though... hehe. =)

Well defilers have owned me from high teens to high 20's so far. Even with mana shield I just can't dent their wards before their dots and scourge does me in. Maybe things will change down the road with focus casting but so far its totally lopsided in their favor.
