New ways to split your group's hard-earned loot? A totally new system for "shiny" collectables? New ways to get around the larger cities? Some new Tradeskill faction items? Ooooh, yes and much more! You can read all about it and see some hard evidence here in today's Sneak Peek for Game Update 43!

~Gnobrin!

Well, it's not where i thought the Ironforge Exchange was going to be re-located to, But it's an even better spot. And as far as the addition of the Banker and Mender in South Qeynos goes, that's simply great.I'm a little mixed about the need before greed system though, as it still is player controlled. It's likely that those that are 'greedy' will pick 'need' on items that they indeed do not. I suppose this will be able to be picked up easily enough if one pays attention to the rolls etc, but this is not always an option in a dungeon setting. Perhaps something truely automatic (once selected) could be implemented too at some stage? For Example, If you loot something for a specific class, and that class is in the group, they will automatically get it, if there's two of the same class it's rolled between the two, etc. For items that various classes can use (e.g. armor) it's once again rolled between those classes that can use it. It becomes a little tricky for no trade items like leather armor and whatnot, but perhaps any no-trade loot could be excluded from this auto-allocation of sorts. ~shrug~ I don't know, just an idea.

I'm soooo drooling over the expanders! They seriously have me on the fence of whether I should continue with my plans to make my Sarnak a Woodworker, or switch her to a Sage. hehe

Dude. You don't know how much I've needed a banker in South Qeynos. My manor is in S. Qeynos. And I've always found it to be incredibly annoying to have to go over to another zone, just to do my banking. Thanks.

Will this GU incorporate the fix for the Dirge epic weapon proc issue? It's not on the notes and I had heard that it would be implemented with this GU.

Yay for the SQ bank. Well needed and why the most affluent area of Qeynos should have been without one for so long is a mystery.

What I am failing to see is the purpose of the new bells in SQ/NQ.

These can take you to Ant/Oakmist/Caves.

Ant is already available from SQ and NQ, the useage of the caves nad Oakmist is minimal.

I just don't get it

Are housing costs and vault slots among Irontoe's, Fish's, and the Lion's Mane going to be equalized now that all three zones have bells and bankers and menders?I think that vault expander might become the single most in-demand item in the game, especially if it increases broker slots too. I hope the cost of obtaining it is commensurate.Powers &8^]

I havn't been playing very long but the one complaint i had was the fact that most people live in South Qeynos and there was no banker there. I would just like to say thanks from all of us in SQ. That will save a lot of zone time just to grab something we need out of the bank.

Kraenier

I saw the picture of the bell in North Freeport which allows you to travel within Freeport, I didn't see one which allows you to travel outside of Freeport as well. I hope this is also included. A great idea, a long time coming.

Also, since you are introducing mannequins for frogloks, I assume you intend to also introduce ones for the other smaller races such as the ratonga and the fay races, and also for the larger races like the orges, trolls and barbarians?

Here's an idea for your consideration. The current house content limits are set based upon the room numbers.

How about allowing the player to choose how much additional rent they pay for their house based upon an increased house content limit. So, for instance, if someone is just starting and doesn't need much space, they could choose to pay the normal rent for the newbie one room house that would allow 100 items. Then, when they aquire more stuff and need more capacity, they could choose to pay a higher rent price where an additional 100 items could be contained within the house, with incremental adjustments for every 100 additional items up to say, 600? For the newbie houses, you could establish an upper limit such as 200 items, and the price you'd pay for that capacity would be comparable to a current 2 room house where the capacity is 200. This kind of pricing structure could exist for the various sizes of homes to expand their capacity beyond what they currently are.

Thanks.

Armous

Well it's about time we South Qenosian's got a banker. I like the look of the new loot system. Now i can choose to be greedy if i don't realy need an item.

I may be wrong but I was under impression the cities that didn't have bells was suppose to have bells at one time for some of these zones have docks since the beginning. I have one question why wasn't Elddar given a bell? I can't count the times I needed to travel from there to south qeynos but had to take the long way around so I can only only hope that it will be given one too pretty please?

The reason they were not in at launch was so that Brawlers could not cheat when doing the trials to become a Monk.

I'm curious to know if the Screenies of the Bankers/Menders are lacking? There will be bells in North and South Freeport/Qeynos, but only a Banker in South? (I'm assuming there will also be a Mender in Sfreeport, but there is no photo) Will there also be one in North? Would only be fair...I don't know about Qeynos but NFreeport is a lot more popular than SFreeport as far as Ive noticed.

A nice collection of conveniences that have been sorely lacking. Now how about a carpet to Sinking Sands in Kelethin?

I'm new to game, Can someone pls tell me what is the "standard length" of update downtime?

Rashaak

Generally two to three hours...sometimes less, sometimes more. If it's longer than 2 hours....it normally means there was a complication. then you gotta figure in your patch speed......
