View Full Version : 64 and stuck, help needed!
Hello,I'm a 64 Necromancer who duo's with a Coercer, we play mostly during UK day times. We seem to have run out of quests, I have just died three times in a row trying to complete a Loping Plains quests (It was heroic) and really don't know where to go to level. We have quested though the ealy Loping Plains (three quests left two of which are heroic, the other of which is hard). We've done TT, the Barren Skys quests (until they went orange/to hard) and I've been told we are to young for Bonemire. Oh and yes, we've been and done the Sinking Sands/Pillars of Flames AND the Isle of Mara stuff (not the repeatable stuff beyond the first time, we want our AA!).I look on EQ2Wiki at the timelines and it seems there are only about two or so questlines per area, this seems a ridculously small amount for whole zones. I could really use some advice on what to do next, are we meant to just grind our way up to 67ish so we can find more quests? When I try and ask on the channels people seem to marvel that we don't have any decent quests left, is our problem down to the fact that due to the time of day we play that we can't get groups? If so I was incorrectly told it was possible to quest your way to 80 solo! Please help, I begin to despair!

I don't know about solo quest, but you can solo to 80 =pIf you've done everything in KoS and EoF, I would suggest getting the Fallen Dynasty expansion. Theres a couple of quests, and some disco's if ya like. Otherwise, you'll have to slug it out till about 67 to get Kylong Plains quests.Hope that helps some.
Done that too, thanks for taking the time to reply though.

kos is indeed a bit light on quests to say nice... mentor a lowbie and do low level quests? done all the lfay ones? you could also do some heroic ones that are still green, i mean like 8-9 levels below you.

i just got done soloing my way to 80... and i have to say that 64 is one of the hardest levels

at least its the last hard one because at 65 all the Kylong plains quests open up and it smooth sailing all the way to 80 from there

so tough it out for one more ding and then you are golden

Pf~

You should be fine to duo in bonemire.

Unless you actually do some grouping for EOF and KOS instances, you might have to grind out a couple of levels.

Some runs through Vaults of El'Arad, The Great Nest, Den of the Devourer, Blackscale Sepulcher, Acadechism, Obelisk of Blight, Crypt of Valdoon should get you a couple of levels and get you geared up for ROK.

All of those instances can be run though in less than an hour each in a semi-decent group.

If you haven't done the Peacock Club Timeline, Claymore Timeline and the other multi-quest timelines then I really would recommend them. Not sure you'd be able to complete them all duoing but some later quest require some of these time lines to be completed as pre-requisites so taking the time to do them while you are in an apparent rut might help you along. Most of the top ones are shown in the top right corner of Wikia.Without a peak at your journal it's a bit hard to advise on anything else. If you haven't done the Lore & Legend quests then I would suggest doing those as they reward plenty of AA. Heritage Quests obviously offer AA too so maybe take the time to revisit those, and mentor down if need be. The Bootstrutter quests are quite often missed by some folk, so if you haven't done those then again a bit of mentoring down would offer a little XP and a lot of AA reward.Have you done all of the Shimmering Citadel and Poet's Palace stuff in the Sinking Sands?

Go into SoS and to the breeding grounds. There are several quests in and outside SoS that will give you lots of XP and no the bone mire is not too hard for a 64. Just stay away from the higher lvl islands and you will have lots of fun. You may want to find one or more characters to get together with you but I have done quests in Bone mire when I was lvl 61. Also, don't forget you can do city writs up there and they give you additional status points. I did not go into LP until I was actually about 69 there was no need for it and once 69 I soloed most of the quests. Yes, most ordinary mobs in bone mire start at 66 but they are easy soloable at 63 and up so you should have no problems duo them..but if you want to do quests like grizzlefazzles you will need to add a few friends.J.C.

Also try what someone else mentioned and go to lesser fay. There are a fair number of quests there and the timeline has a decent monetary reward and a couple of nice items. I found that while leveling the toughest time was between level 62 and 65. Once I hit 65 it was a walk in the park.
At L65 you can duo the starting quests in Kylong Plains in RoK. Head there is my advice

Also, if you have not done them yet, the creature catalog quests from Maj'Dul and Bonemire will get you a good chunk through 64. In bonemire you buy them from the vendor at the crash site and there is one for Tenebrous tangle, Barren Sky and Bonemire. For Maj'Dul you buy them from a vendor in the courts house (Coin, Blades whichever you are with) and there are about 4 or 5 of them.

They are releativly quick and easy to do and give decent XP and AA points. Then as mentioned at 65 you are clear to hit Kylong plains and get a good run to 80. You CAN go at 64 but not all quests are available to you

Try the Claymore line and if you have a coercer with you, you could go to Bonemire grinding. The well known pets are so great there that I grinded 4 levels out of them. And you can get a lot of shinys when running in circles on shattered weir. Not very interesting for a duo, admitted, but better than nothing.
Thanks for all the advice, we have just "bought" our way to 88% of the evil level doing l&l and a few collections, and are heading off to grind the last bit before we hit the jungle

There are some quests at the beginning of SoS that can be duoed. Solo questlines in Bonemire would be fine. Front of Mistmoore Catacombs. Peacock and part of Claymore questlines. Ring of Fate (which requires a bunch of repetitive factioning). Orb of Tunare line.

I'm sure there's more, but I'm at work and can't look 'em all up.
