I am looking for Ultravision for my Wizard. I think I must have overlooked it somewhere because I cant find it. I have to stop playing at night, on some maps, because I cant see nodes to mine, etc. sometimes needed to finish quests.I think the lack of night vision, unlike other mage classes, is an oversight that need to be addressed. Two downsides of playing a Wizard are the poor performance against multiple mobs (your going to die again) and a Wizards lack of Ultravision, Adding Ultravision is very easy to do and will make game play at night less frustrating.have fun.

I have the same problem as a Warlock, fighting more than one mob at a time. I've been using sonic vision, (Being a Ratonga), to see things at night. At least in the commonlands.

In regards to Night Vision, there are certain graphical options you can use to greatly increase light levels at night. Some interface mods have this configured already, like: URL: http://www.eq2interface.com/downloa...nfo.php?id=3655Ultravision is by far the least of my concerns as a Wizard. Not being able to realize my classes full potential when grouped with tanks of average quality due to lack of threat reduction abilities is probably my largest concern as of late. What's the point of being one of the premiere DPS classes if you can't bring that power to bear on your target without getting one-shotted?As for dealing with multiple mobs, this isn't our strongest point, but it certainly isn't a weakness. You have a very decent single target root, and a very decent encounter based root. So basically you have two roots available to you at all times, one of which can lock down a whole group of linked mobs. Now, if you foolishly start trying to AE down that group of linked mobs, you deserve what you've got coming to you. If you're smart and enforce your group root with a single target root and nuke each mob down one at a time, you'll have no issues with multiple mobs.

I have profitui reborn and it has a gamma setting called 'nightvision' which enhances low-light zones so you can see fairly clearly. I would recommend it if you're in those places.

Different races get different visions. For your light prob, the gamma setting is the way to go actually. If you want more, I suggest your to go for a torch/lantern system that could benefit every classes of the game and not just wizards. You can /feedback or start a thread in the Item section of the forum.Marie-Ange
