I recently did a new install of EQ2. Everything is working fine.. except..

I went to load my custom UI (Profit Reborn) .. some elemts (fonts/colours) do load but none of the components. I checked the Ui.log and I found this..

Encountered data outside of container tagsEncountered data outside of container tags :: Could not access resource eq2ui_mainhud_advancementchoice.xml :: Failed to load data from included resource: eq2ui_mainhud_advancementchoice.xml :: Could not access resource eq2ui_mainhud_quickbar.xml :: Failed to load data from included resource: eq2ui_mainhud_quickbar.xml :: Could not access resource eq2ui_mainhud_skills.xml :: Failed to load data from included resource: eq2ui_mainhud_skills.xmlCouldn't load .xml :: Could not access resource eq2ui_newcharscene.xml :: Failed to load data from included resource: eq2ui_newcharscene.xmlEncountered data outside of container tagsCouldn't load .xml

I noticed these were all default files for the eq2ui. They are indeed missing; but the game plays fine. I did a full file scan and they are still absent. These files are NOT a part of the custom UI, but are they the reason my custom UI will now not load?

Thanks!

Muffin

SOE does not provide support for 3rd party UIs.

You would be better off seeking help on the www.eq2interface.com forums.

Here's a link to the specific forum: www.eq2interface.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=41

It looks like an issue with how your custom UI is interacting with the default UI.

You probably messed up the install of the custom UI.

Did you back up your UI directory before installing a custom UI?
