Hey folks, hopefully some of you lvl 80 guys can share some of your thoughts on how to spec AAs for raiding? I'm 68 and looking forward to helping my guild in a couple of the higher level raids in a few weeks. I have a mirror so I plan to setup a solo/duo spec and a raid spec.

Right now I'm a Chronomancer with just about all the casting/reset timers maxed out and then I have mana sheild from the coercer AAs and most all the mana heals maxed out. I plan to upgrade my charm to master (its Adept3 now) when I can and both my single/group mez are master. Since Kunark tends to dump money on you I have been able to afford master versions of most all my upgrades since 65 but I am sure the 70s will hurt me bad for pp.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing what any of you have to share about Raid AA specs.

Thanks!

VengenceofWill - 68 Gnome Coercer - Nektulos

Your basic raid AA set up is AGI/INT to the end abilities, then the rest in STA, maxing out heal crits. In our Coercer tree's ive got Thoughtsnap, Tash and Coercive Healing, with the spare points put into Mana.

Ditto except I have most points into mana in the coercer tree, and coercive healing. Thinking I should get thought snap though...

The reason the Mana line was my spare points line was that with in a dirge in my group we're already way past the cap on basic power regen. That leaves the points you put into breeze and Mind's Eye kind of a waste (I didnt say any way of going down the tree without having to put at least some points there). The points are useful on the other abilities, but Manaward is pretty much a waste. Power drains seem to be either non-existant, or Complete drains, with 1 or 2 exceptions. Thoughtsnap has some utility beyond the obvious too.

AGI and INT line full down rest to str lineCoercer tree down to Tash, Coercive healing and some points to mana things and to reuse of sonic boom and Ego melt.Thoughsnap and Manaward are 99% useless if you tank rocks and coz there are nearly no mobs that drain power that low that manward would reduce it.

Str line is nice like 50% of the time when you are able to melee the mob too, Currently like 9-14% of my dps comes from autoattack.

Full agi line is a common choice and the casting times are quite nice and helpfull

Int line is also a must have mostly for the crit as the last one demand quite a bit of effort to work

Sta line for the 16% heal crit is why i hear healers say thanks with coercive healing

For coercer tree coercive healing on shaman for boost of maximum ward is nice (add the proc from claymore reward i think one did about 5K ward once) evade the mindbend AA it's completely unusuable but max empathic link if you got some big DPS in raid they'll love that one.

Rest of choices are hard i'll just say to evade putting anything in manashroud it's simply not worth and chanelling can be very nice but raidwise if you need to cast it twice it would mean a fight over 15mn (ten mn recast with AA and I hope your power can last five mns before you need that one) personnally i'll try tashiana and thought snap with ten points in group mana regen line

Good luck

Thanks for your replies. I'll have to redo some of mine to get the abilities you've suggested.
