Collectables and non raid loot tips?

<p>G'day, I was wondering if anyone has some good tips on collectable quests and non raid named named that drop good Paladin suited plate and jewelry?</p><p>So far collectable quests and quests in general have provided pretty poor stuff (exceptions being "For a Few Pieces of Metal More" and Skyfire Dwarf Hunter quests) for me as a Paladin.</p><p>Getting raid drops is a pretty slow business if you aren't MT and raid a lot and I am trying to max my gear the best I can, till I get lucky on a raid.</p><p>I know the instance sets are out there at levels 77/78 but I was thinking outside of these.</p><p>I am looking for items that are good for tanking ie mit/avoid/dps, but feel free to mention stuff that helps healage since some Paladins are drawn to the dark side, ahem. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/385970365b8ed7503b4294502a458efa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p><p>Thanks for any help you can offer <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

<p>there is some decent gear out there on just about every faction line, too many to count to be honest, sallet of the reet knight is a rok blue shiny, expensive to buy but well worth it, the ward proc on it goes off quite a bit, there are Terrik's moonrise wristlets that have a counterattack proc on them, also very nice, buy some dreadscale greaves, they are great, you should have ton's of cash from trash loot rewards and such.  CoA is pathetically easy now that the power drain is gone, not that it was terribly hard before, decent starter loot there.  you can buy some stuff from the faction merchants but none of it is great.</p><p>there's the thugga questline, easy easy fabled reward, drolvorg weapons emblem has 10 to str sta agil and 50 health and power.</p><p>cant think of much else but check out the solo questing timelines on eq2wiki</p>

I was told that I was missing good collectable and named loot outside of instances, hence my post. I am Ally with almost all the faction vendors and havent seen much that seemed worth it, I tend to go for 500+ mit and avoidance boosts, resistances and Stats plus any DPS procs. I think the itemisation of some classes quest rewards has been bad and Pally's have been left out pretty much.</p>

While there are some very nice weapons that come from instances and quests, there is a lack of one handed weapons for paladins. Cartaroid cutter and anaphaxis are both 1 handed piercing weapons which arn't usable by crusaders. There is no equivellent weapon that we can use that comes from quests or instances. While the Nathsar Short Sword is nice, it lacks the base DPS of the other 2 weapons. Also its proc generates just agro, no damage. Bascially, paladins fall further behind on the DPS curve in Kunark vs the other tanking professions due to design issues with the available weapons. Even our epic doesn't help in this reguard. Other professions get abilities to do more damage, we get...well...no need to say it really.

<p>Yup DPS is so important on raids, you dont just need it to help agro but to help the raid burn a 100000000000000hp mob faster. I am in the same position as you in regards to tank gear and raiding but am happy with most of my non-raid tank gear atm... I want the best non-raid tanking gear available. <p>Thanks, I am very close to finishing my Fabled Epic and I will be hammering JW etc nameds when not doing instances or raiding. I have killed most of the zone named but got such crap from them I thought that they werent worth persisting with.
